Spotted in Manhattan with her hair swept into a floppy bun, Lawrence’s new colour reads as toasted and red-toned, closer to chestnut or acorn than the buttery blonde she has worn for much of the past few years. The bangs and ends still carry lighter blonde highlights, which keeps the overall effect soft rather than fully dark.
A Hair Shift That Feels Deliberate
Three days earlier, Lawrence was seen cycling around New York City with a silk scarf tied around a washed-out baseball cap. At the time, the accessory looked like a seasonal style move, but it now appears it may have helped hide the colour change.

More recently, she has mostly stayed blonde, apart from a brief red look for Don’t Look Up in 2021. That appearance was a wig, but it showed how different she can look when she steps away from her usual shade.
