Chivas de Guadalajara’s first Nike kits bring back a design feature closely tied to the club’s history: the polo collar. The detail leads a new Home jersey that retains the five red stripes central to Chivas’ identity.
The Home and Away designs are the first on-pitch expression of a multi-year partnership between Chivas and Nike. Together, they frame what the club calls a new chapter in its Futuro Sagrado.
Two kits, one club identity
The Home kit takes a clean, traditional route, pairing its red-and-white striped look with the returning polo collar. Nike and Chivas said the collar recalls some of the club’s most memorable moments while reinforcing the shirt’s timeless character.
The Away kit offers a sharper contrast with a crisp white base and a red-and-blue gradient treatment. That color blend appears across the crest, Nike Swoosh, sponsor marks and player personalization elements.
| Kit | Base Design | Key Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Five red stripes | Return of the polo collar |
| Away | Crisp white base | Red-and-blue gradient across key graphics |
Both shirts use the red, white and blue associated with Chivas de Guadalajara, its Mexican cultural connection and generations of supporters. The designs also include club-specific details intended to strengthen the link between the team, its city and its fan base.
Custom graphics for the Nike partnership
The collection introduces a custom wordmark made exclusively for the partnership, drawing on the club’s legendary goat identity. Subtle horn-inspired details are built into the mark to create a symbol for the new era.
Nike and Chivas also developed a bespoke name-and-number typeface influenced by Mexican graphic design traditions. Its bold, angular forms reference visual styles found throughout the country and give the kits a distinctly Mexican look.
“This jersey honors the history that brought us here and the future we’re determined to build. Every time we step onto the pitch, we represent millions of Chivas supporters around the world, and wearing this kit for the first time makes that responsibility even more meaningful.” — Armando González
Built with Nike Aero-FIT technology
The new kits use Nike Aero-FIT technology, which is engineered at the yarn and stitch level to improve cooling during competition. Specialized knitting and strategically placed open and closed mesh zones are designed to maximize airflow.
The fabric is intended to move air across the body while lifting material away from the skin. Graphic elements are engineered directly into the fabric rather than layered on top, helping preserve breathability without changing the visual identity.
In an official statement published by www.chivasdecorazon.com.mx, the club said the kits establish the creative foundation for the Nike partnership on and off the pitch. Chivas will debut the Nike kits on July 18 in the club’s first men’s Mexican league match of the season.
“Every time you put on this crest, you feel the responsibility and pride that come with representing Chivas de Guadalajara. That’s what I thought about when I saw this jersey for the first time. It’s a beautiful kit, and I’m excited for our fans to make it their own as we continue building new memories together.” — Alicia Cervantes
Early access in Mexico begins July 16 through Nike.com, the Nike App, Tienda Chivas online, Nike Madero, Nike Andares and official Chivas stores. The collection will launch globally on July 22 through Nike channels and select retail partners.
