Tzimas Signs After 7-0 Win, Stands Firm on Major Albion Career Decision

Brighton’s Greek striker Stefanos Tzimas made his move to the Premier League club immediately after they suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest. Tzimas officially signed at the end of the mid-season transfer window but initially stayed on loan at Nuremberg in Germany’s second division. Shortly after joining Brighton fully, he marked a significant milestone by scoring his first Premier League goal during Albion’s 2-0 victory at the City Ground, which helped the team atone for their earlier drubbing. Reflecting on the timing of his signing, Tzimas stated, “I signed exactly after that game or the day after. Was I discouraged? No, of course not. Adapting to the physical demands of the English top flight posed a major challenge for Tzimas. He explained that the level of strength and running expected here is markedly higher than what he experienced in Greece or even Germany. “Trust me, it’s a lot of difference,” he said. “Now here is different again. It is a huge difference.” Overcoming a summer injury and working hard on his fitness contributed to his readiness to perform at this level.

Before his Premier League breakthrough, Tzimas had already demonstrated his goal-scoring ability in the Carabao Cup, netting twice in earlier rounds. Celebrating his first top-flight goal, he shared, “It was a big moment for me. Premier League was my dream, and now scoring doesn’t feel real.
