Nearly three decades after the tragic death of JonBenet Ramsey, the Boulder Police Department continues to prioritize the case. Officials remain actively engaged in collecting and testing evidence to uncover new leads.

Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn revealed that investigators have recently gathered fresh evidence. They also performed new tests on remnants collected from the original crime scene.

The authorities conducted interviews and re-interviews during the past year. However, specific details about these witnesses and the evidence tested have not been disclosed.

JonBenet, a six-year-old beauty queen, was found murdered in the basement of her family’s home. Her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, discovered a ransom note left on the stairs that morning.

The autopsy established that JonBenet was sexually assaulted and strangled. Additionally, her skull was fractured, and unknown DNA was retrieved from her fingernails and underwear.

In 2008, the Ramsey family and their son were officially cleared as suspects. Patsy Ramsey passed away prior to this ruling.

Chief Redfearn confirmed his ongoing communication with the Ramsey family. He emphasized their shared objective: bringing JonBenet’s killer to justice.
