Ken Nunn, a prominent personal injury attorney in Indiana, passed away at the age of 85. His law office confirmed his death on the morning of December 24 through a Facebook announcement.
Nunn founded the Ken Nunn Law Office in Bloomington in 1967. He started his practice with just a card table and folding chairs.
From these humble beginnings, he built what became the largest personal injury law firm in Indiana. The firm serves clients across all 92 counties in the state.
Nunn’s dedication to his clients was reflected in his memorable slogan, “Call me, it’s just that easy,” featured in his commercials. His commitment was fueled by his admiration for the novel and film “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
The law office’s tribute described Nunn as a pioneer in representing injured people. They also highlighted his strong ties to Indiana University and IU basketball.
Outside his legal career, Nunn supported numerous charities throughout his lifetime. The post emphasized the lasting legacy he leaves for his family, employees, and the tens of thousands of people his firm helped.
Ken Nunn is survived by his daughter Vicky, son David, and grandchildren Katie and Jimmy. Vicky, inspired by her father, joined the law office in 2001 and will take over its leadership.
In a Facebook post, Vicky expressed deep loss, writing, “Dad was ALWAYS there to help, give his opinion or just give a hug.” She added that he will be “forever missed.”
Jimmy also paid tribute on Instagram, calling his grandfather the most important person in his life. He noted Nunn’s significant impact on family, friends, and the broader community.
The Ken Nunn Law Office continues to honor his legacy by maintaining its mission to fight for injured people across Indiana.
