These agencies are collaborating with multiple local police and sheriff’s departments across Illinois to reinforce key safety campaigns: “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket.” The campaign will run from Friday evening through Monday morning, focusing on reducing impaired driving incidents during Super Bowl celebrations.

Stephane B. Seck-Birhame, bureau chief of Safety Programs and Engineering at IDOT, emphasized the importance of designating a sober driver before festivities begin. She stated, “Driving impaired is the worst decision you can make. It’s also 100% avoidable.” The message encourages all drivers to ensure arrangements for safe rides in advance.
