Microsoft has widened its Surface lineup with two new devices built around a clear goal: making on-device AI a central part of the Windows experience. The move also underscores how aggressively Microsoft is positioning its latest Surface models for the AI PC era. The 13.8-inch model starts at US$1,599, while the 15-inch model starts at US$1,699. On the smaller version, Microsoft uses a 120Hz LCD panel with a pixel density of 201 PPI. It is also rated for up to 20 hours of local video playback on a single charge. The 15-inch version offers a sharper panel with 262 PPI and adds a MicroSDXC card slot for more flexible storage expansion. Both Surface Laptop models include two USB-C ports with USB4 support and one USB-A port. Microsoft has also added a new Jade color option for the 13.8-inch model, joining Platinum, Black, and Dune.
