If that happens, Xiaomi would be repeating a strategy it already used with the Xiaomi 13 lineup. In April 2026, the company launched an official battery-upgrade program that let users replace aging batteries with larger-capacity units without buying a new phone. The program covered the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra, and each model received a real capacity boost rather than a like-for-like replacement.
