Oppo is positioning the Pad 6 as a tablet that tries to cover performance, display quality, and stylus support in one package. That combination immediately places it in the premium Android tablet conversation, especially now that the device has been officially confirmed for launch in China.
The company has set the launch for May 25 at 18:00 local time in China. On the same stage, Oppo will also introduce the Reno 16 series, the Enco Air 5s earbuds, and a new color option for the Pad Air 5.
Flagship hardware at the center
The most attention-grabbing part of the Pad 6 is its hardware setup. Oppo is preparing the Dimensity 9500s, a high-end chipset built on a 3nm process, to power the tablet.
That chip is described as carrying an Immortalis-G925 GPU and having characteristics similar to the Dimensity 9400. Paired with a 3,000 x 2,120-pixel display, the Pad 6 is clearly aimed at users who expect more than basic media playback or casual browsing.
A tablet built beyond entertainment
Oppo has also confirmed a 10,420mAh battery for the Pad 6. The tablet will run ColorOS based on Android, keeping it within Oppo’s software ecosystem.
Stylus support is part of the package as well. That detail gives the device a broader use case, since it is not limited to watching content or general everyday tasks, but also fits productivity and creative work.
Design continuity and color choices
Visually, Oppo is keeping the Pad 6 close to the Pad 5 Pro. The rear panel retains the pill-shaped camera module, which helps preserve the same design identity across the company’s premium tablet line.
Oppo has also listed three color options for the device. Buyers will be able to choose Galaxy Silver, Space Gray, or Starlight Blue.
Memory options for different users
The Pad 6 will arrive in three memory configurations. Those choices are 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB.
The lineup gives Oppo room to address different usage needs within the premium segment. The base version should suit everyday use, while the largest configuration is better aligned with heavier multitasking and larger storage demands.
Oppo’s tablet strategy is becoming more defined with the Pad 6. After the Pad 5 Pro, this new model continues the company’s push in the upper tier of Android tablets, and the combination of a sharp display, a flagship chipset, a large battery, and stylus support makes that positioning hard to miss.
Pricing has not been announced yet, but the confirmed specifications already show that Oppo is aiming squarely at the premium class.
