Epic Games Store has widened its May mystery free games lineup with two very different offers: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Down in Bermuda. The pairing gives players a choice between a polished version of a classic action series and a lighter puzzle-adventure built around colorful island exploration.
The headline draw is Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which bundles the first three Lara Croft adventures into a single package. Crystal Dynamics kept the core experience intact, including secret locations and enemy patterns, while updating textures and adjusting controls for modern devices.
That modern treatment is important because the early Tomb Raider formula still demands precision. Level design and jump timing remain unforgiving, and even small movement mistakes can have harsh consequences, which is part of the identity that made these games memorable in the first place.
The remaster also supports controllers, although only partially. On Steam, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered has gathered more than 3,400 reviews with an 82% positive rating, and its regular price is listed at $29.99.
The second free game, Down in Bermuda, moves in a very different direction. It is a puzzle-adventure with bright visual design, six distinct islands, and a more relaxed pace than Lara Croft’s old-school expedition.
Its strongest point appears to be the puzzles, which have been well received by players. At the same time, the game has also drawn criticism for relying on pixel-hunting in some challenges, a design choice that can slow progress for players who prefer clearer guidance.
Down in Bermuda is also a shorter experience, with playtime estimated at around three to four hours. That makes it a fit for players looking for something brief and casual, though it may feel limited for anyone expecting a longer adventure.
The game’s Steam reception is also positive, with more than 1,500 reviews and an 89% approval rate. Outside the Epic promotion, it is sold for $19.99.
Both titles are available for free until May 28, 2026. For Epic Games Store users, the batch offers two distinct ways to add to a library without spending anything, whether the goal is to revisit classic exploration or to try a compact puzzle-driven adventure.
