Lenovo’s New Legion Y900 Tablets Bring 4K 144Hz Displays, But China Gets Them First

Lenovo’s latest gaming tablets are designed to stand out immediately, but their biggest limitation is just as clear: both models are currently limited to China. That leaves the Lenovo Legion Y900 11-inch and 13-inch looking like some of the most tempting Android tablets in their class, while still leaving global buyers with no confirmed release window.

What makes the pair unusual is not just the gaming branding, but the combination of a 4K display, 144Hz refresh rate, large batteries, strong audio hardware, and a separate keyboard case with RGB lighting. In the Android tablet market, that bundle is still rare, especially when Lenovo is offering it in two different sizes.

Two sizes, one gaming direction

Lenovo is selling the new tablets under the Legion Y900 name, with 11.1-inch and 13-inch versions. The design continues the visual direction seen on the Legion Tab Gen 5 that was previously shown at MWC 2026, but the new models are positioned with stronger hardware and a broader feature set.

Both tablets share the same display fundamentals. Each model supports 4K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness level of up to 1,100 nits. Lenovo also includes support for the second-generation Lenovo Pen Pro, which offers 8,192 pressure levels for writing and drawing tasks.

A software-based privacy feature is also part of the package. It can dim sensitive parts of the screen so that nearby people have a harder time seeing specific content.

Different chips, different audio setups

The biggest separation between the two models comes from the internal hardware. The 11-inch Legion Y900 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500S, while the 13-inch version is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

Memory and storage options stay firmly in premium territory. Lenovo offers configurations starting at 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, and moving up to 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage.

The 13-inch tablet also appears to be the more ambitious multimedia option. The 11-inch model includes four side-firing speakers, while the 13-inch version steps up to six speakers in total, including two tweeters and four sub-woofers. Lenovo says the audio is tuned by Harman Kardon.

Large batteries and fast charging

Battery capacity is another major part of the appeal. The 11-inch model carries an 11,000mAh battery, and the 13-inch model increases that to 12,700mAh.

Both tablets support 68W fast charging, which matters because batteries of that size can take a long time to refill without faster power delivery. For gaming, video playback, and other heavy tablet use, Lenovo is clearly aiming for endurance as well as performance.

Keyboard case adds a desktop-style angle

Lenovo is also selling an external keyboard case for both tablets. The accessory includes RGB-lit keys and is meant to support a desktop mode that Lenovo describes as similar to Samsung DeX.

That gives the Legion Y900 series a second identity beyond gaming and media consumption. With the keyboard attached, the tablets are also meant to handle lighter productivity tasks, although the accessory is sold separately.

Pricing stays premium, but not out of reach for the category

In China, the Legion Y900 13-inch starts at 2,719 yuan and goes up to 4,099 yuan. The 11-inch model starts at 2,124 yuan and reaches 3,699 yuan depending on the configuration.

Those prices place the tablets in a premium bracket, but Lenovo is still trying to keep them competitive for devices that combine a 4K 144Hz display, large batteries, advanced audio, and gaming-focused accessories. For now, though, the broader market will have to wait and see whether Lenovo decides to expand availability beyond China.
