Leica 5x Telephoto Comes Standard Across Xiaomi 17T Models, Pricing Starts at Rp8.999.000

Xiaomi is pushing the 17T Series with a clear message: zoom matters, and it now applies to every model in the lineup. Both the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro carry Leica 5x Telephoto hardware, making the camera focus feel central rather than optional.

That move sets the series apart from many phones in the same class. Xiaomi is pairing the telephoto setup with 10x optical-grade support and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom, giving users more reach for distant subjects without changing the core identity of the lineup.

Leica telephoto on every model

The 17T Series uses a 50 MP triple camera system built through the Leica and Xiaomi collaboration. Leica 5x Telephoto is available on both the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, and Xiaomi also includes OIS to help keep shots steady.

With that setup, both models can produce 50 MP photos across different focal lengths. Xiaomi also adds a dedicated Stage camera mode, which is aimed at concerts and other scenes with difficult lighting.

Video capability gives the Pro model a stronger edge. The Xiaomi 17T Pro supports cinematic video at up to 4K 60 fps, making it the more flexible option for users who want more from both stills and motion capture.

Two screen sizes, one display formula

Xiaomi is also introducing two different sizes within the same family for the first time, through the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. Both models use 1.5K AMOLED panels, but the refresh rate differs between them.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes with a 144 Hz panel, while the Xiaomi 17T uses a 120 Hz display. Xiaomi says the screens can reach up to 3,500 nits of brightness, while ultra-thin 1.29 mm bezels on all four sides are meant to make the viewing experience feel more immersive.

The company is also debuting Xiaomi Vision Care on this series. The system is designed to adapt the display to ambient light while reducing blue light, flicker, and motion blur.

Battery and charging are built for heavy use

Power delivery is another major focus in the 17T lineup. Both phones use Xiaomi’s latest silicon-carbon battery technology, but the capacities and charging speeds are different.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro carries a 7,000 mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge for wired charging and 50W HyperCharge for wireless charging. The Xiaomi 17T comes with a 6,500 mAh battery and supports 67W HyperCharge.

Different chipsets, different color options

Performance also separates the two models. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 built on a 3 nm process, while the Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra built on 4 nm.

Xiaomi says both chipsets bring improvements in CPU, GPU, and AI processing. The color choices also differ by model, with the Xiaomi 17T offered in Opal White, Black, and Violet, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro comes in Black, Deep Violet, and Deep Blue.

Pricing and availability

The Xiaomi 17T Pro 12GB + 256GB is priced at Rp11,999,000, while the 12GB + 512GB version costs Rp12,999,000. The Xiaomi 17T 12GB + 256GB is listed at Rp8,999,000, and the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rp9,999,000.

Both models will be available online and offline starting 6 June 2026. With Leica zoom across the entire lineup, fast AMOLED panels, large batteries, and a wider spread of pricing, the Xiaomi 17T Series is positioned as a feature-rich option in its class.
