Xiaomi 17T Pro Puts A 7,000 mAh Battery And 50 MP Telephoto In The Spotlight

Xiaomi has expanded its global smartphone lineup with the Xiaomi 17T Series, and the most attention-grabbing detail is not hard to spot. The series pairs a 50 MP telephoto camera with high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, while the Pro model goes further with a 7,000 mAh battery and 100W wired charging.

The lineup consists of two models, Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, and both are positioned for users who want premium-grade imaging and strong endurance. The series is also already on the radar of the Indonesian market, with both devices scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.

Camera system built around telephoto zoom

Photography is one of the clearest priorities in the Xiaomi 17T Series. Both phones use a triple rear camera setup made up of a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom, and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera.

The regular Xiaomi 17T even uses a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x zoom support. The Xiaomi 17T Pro carries a similar rear camera arrangement, keeping the telephoto experience consistent across the two models.

For selfies and video calls, Xiaomi equips both devices with a 32 MP front camera. That combination gives the series a balanced setup for long-range shots, everyday photos, and social media content.

Display choices separate the two models

Xiaomi also draws a clear line between the standard and Pro versions through the screen. The Xiaomi 17T comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro steps up to a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate.

That difference makes the Pro model the more expansive option for users who want a larger viewing area and smoother motion. Even so, the standard Xiaomi 17T still offers a high-spec display that should remain comfortable for entertainment, gaming, and daily use.

Battery and charging are a major selling point

Battery capacity is another area where Xiaomi pushes the Pro model further. The Xiaomi 17T includes a 6,500 mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro raises the bar with a 7,000 mAh battery and 100W wired charging. That makes the Pro version the standout model in the series for endurance, especially for users who spend long hours on photography, navigation, video, and other demanding tasks.

Different hardware tiers for different users

Performance also follows the same split. The Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. It also comes with 12 GB of RAM, but storage reaches 1 TB, making it the more suitable option for users who need far more space for files, apps, and media.

Color options complete the lineup

Xiaomi gives each model its own set of color choices. The Xiaomi 17T is available in Violet, Blue, Opal White, and Black.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, and Black. Together, those options give the series a more distinct identity, especially for buyers who consider design alongside specifications.

Taken as a whole, the Xiaomi 17T Series is aimed at premium-phone buyers who want strong telephoto photography, fast displays, and long battery life in one package. The Xiaomi 17T focuses on balance, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro pushes harder with a larger screen, a more powerful chipset, up to 1 TB of storage, and the biggest battery in the lineup.
