Honor X7e Debuts in Malaysia With 7,500 mAh Battery and 45 W Charging at MYR 899

Honor has quietly expanded its budget lineup in Malaysia with the Honor X7e, a model that puts battery endurance at the center of the package. The most attention-grabbing detail is its 7,500 mAh battery, a capacity that is unusual in the entry-level segment and gives the phone a more serious profile than its price might suggest.

The device is priced at MYR 899 for the 6 GB + 256 GB variant. That positioning makes it an affordable 4G phone, but Honor is clearly aiming beyond basic value by pairing the price with endurance-focused hardware and a large built-in storage option.

Battery-first approach

The battery is the main selling point here, and Honor backs it with 45 W fast charging. That combination is meant to reduce downtime while keeping the phone usable for long periods, which fits the needs of users who care more about staying powered than chasing premium specs.

There is also a regional detail worth noting. The 7,500 mAh battery is specific to the Malaysia version, while units sold in other markets are listed with a 7,000 mAh battery. Even with that difference, the product direction remains the same: long runtime is the priority.

For an entry-level phone, this kind of battery setup is the most immediate differentiator. It gives the Honor X7e a clearer identity in a crowded budget segment where battery life is often one of the few features buyers can judge quickly.

Display and durability

On the front, the Honor X7e uses a 6.6-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The hardware still sits in budget territory, but the higher refresh rate should make everyday scrolling and navigation feel smoother than on standard low-end screens.

Honor also adds SGS premium five-star drop protection certification. That inclusion strengthens the phone’s appeal for practical users, since physical durability often matters as much as price in this category.

Cameras and quick access features

The rear camera setup is led by a 50 MP main camera, supported by one additional lens. Up front, the phone carries a 5 MP selfie camera for basic self-portraits and video calls.

A dedicated one-press AI button is also part of the package. Honor says it can be customized, and the feature resembles the quick-access idea used in the Honor 600 series, giving users a faster route to AI-related functions without digging through menus.

Software, memory, and design

Out of the box, the Honor X7e runs Magic OS 10.0 based on Android 16. Honor has not detailed software support plans for the model, so the long-term update picture remains unclear.

Memory is generous for the class, with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. There is no expansion slot, so users will need to rely on the included storage for apps, photos, and files.

The phone measures 8.29 mm thick and weighs about 207 grams. That makes it a fairly chunky device, although the size is understandable given the battery inside.

In Malaysia, Honor offers the Honor X7e in midnight black and sunset orange. With its large battery, 120 Hz display, and budget-friendly price, the phone is positioned as an entry-level option that tries to offer more than the usual essentials.
