Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is moving into one of the busiest release windows in recent memory, and that timing may matter as much as the game itself. With a launch set for 24 September on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, the arcade racer is arriving only about two months before Grand Theft Auto 6.
That puts the game in the middle of a crowded stretch for major releases, where visibility can be difficult to secure. Even so, the first trailer gives it a clear identity built around fast, colorful racing and the familiar Hot Wheels fantasy.
A classic arcade feel built around toy-like speed
The new trailer runs for roughly 90 seconds and leans heavily into the series’ arcade roots. Cars modeled after die-cast toys race across the brand’s signature orange tracks, with environments that include beaches and city streets.
The presentation also highlights the playful side of the roster. Alongside more traditional sports cars, the trailer shows a yellow rubber duck vehicle, reinforcing the game’s lighthearted tone.
Hazards turn the tracks into set pieces
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is not relying on speed alone to make an impression. The trailer also shows oversized obstacles and themed hazards, including a shark mechanic, dinosaur fossils, and a gorilla blocking the course.
Those details help define the game as more than a straightforward racer. The emphasis appears to be on spectacle, sudden interruptions, and the kind of exaggerated track design that has long shaped the Hot Wheels brand.
Price talk and platform rumors add more attention
Alongside the trailer, a retail price of $49.99 has surfaced, although it has not been officially confirmed by the publisher. That keeps the figure in rumor territory for now, even as it offers an early sense of how the game may be positioned.
There is also lingering talk about a Nintendo Switch 2 version in development. The latest footage, however, only shows the current-gen release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, leaving that possible port unconfirmed.
If the Switch 2 rumor eventually proves true, the game could reach an even wider audience. For now, the confirmed focus remains on its 24 September debut and the arcade style that the first trailer has already made clear.
