Yamaha has made its electric push in Vietnam far more aggressive by cutting the Neo’s price by more than 10 million VND. In the latest promotion, the discount is reported to reach 15 million VND, making the model far more accessible to city buyers.
The official price has dropped from around 49.1 million VND to 36.9 million VND. At some dealers, the selling price is said to fall further to the 32.5–34 million VND range, strengthening the Neo’s appeal in the urban commuter segment.
Built for short city travel
The Yamaha Neo is Yamaha’s first officially sold electric model. It uses a compact European-style design and is aimed squarely at daily mobility in the city.
That positioning makes the scooter suitable for commuters, school runs, and short errands. In a market where it competes with conventional gasoline scooters, the lower price gives it a more realistic entry point.
Practical hardware for everyday use
The Yamaha Neo delivers 2 kW of power and a top speed of 48 km/h. It is not designed for high-speed riding, but the output is enough for routine travel in dense urban areas.
Its lithium-ion battery is capable of traveling up to 60 km on a full charge. With an additional battery, the range can be extended to 120 km.
Charging becomes easier
One of the Neo’s most important advantages is its removable battery system. Riders can recharge the battery at home or at the office without having to park near a power outlet.
That flexibility is especially relevant for city users who often face limited parking space and fewer charging options. In daily use, the setup reduces inconvenience and makes the scooter easier to live with.
Extra features and ownership benefits
Beyond the lower price, the Yamaha Neo also comes with smartphone connectivity, full LED lighting, and front and rear disc brakes. Yamaha also highlights the scooter’s solid body and comfortable ride as part of its overall package.
Buyers additionally receive free battery swaps five times per month for one year. The benefit can help reduce long-term operating costs, especially for riders who depend on the scooter every day.
A more convincing position in the electric market
With its revised pricing, the Yamaha Neo has become a more compelling option in its class. It now combines Japanese build quality, useful technology, and a price that is easier for buyers to accept.
The price correction also reflects a broader move toward more affordable electric mobility. For consumers who have been waiting for the right time to switch, the Neo is now much harder to overlook.
