Logitech Spotlight 2 Turns Presentations Into a Calmer, More Controlled Experience

Logitech is pushing the presentation remote beyond simple slide control with Spotlight 2, a $130 device aimed at people who speak regularly in classrooms, meeting rooms, conference halls, and on Zoom. The biggest surprise is not the pointer itself, but a guided breathing feature designed to help users steady their nerves before they begin speaking.

The function uses gentle haptic feedback to support breathing control, giving presenters a quiet moment to reset before facing an audience. In a market where hybrid meetings have become routine, Logitech is clearly positioning the device as a tool that supports both performance and composure.

More than a traditional clicker

Spotlight 2 still includes the basics expected from a presentation remote, including a traditional Class 1 laser pointer. But the device also adds a set of digital presentation tools that are meant to do more than move slides forward.

Users can switch between Spotlight, Squarelight, Magnify, Annotation, and Digital Pointer effects. These tools are built to emphasize specific parts of a presentation without relying entirely on a conventional laser pointer.

That approach matters more in hybrid and virtual settings, where a basic laser is not always the most effective option. The highlight button also provides haptic feedback when an effect is active, so users do not need to keep looking down to confirm what the remote is doing.

Designed to keep the speaker focused

Logitech has also added pressure-sensitive controls and tactile feedback to make the remote easier to use without constant visual checks. That detail helps presenters move through slides or activate tools while keeping their attention on the room instead of on their hands.

There is also a programmable action button that can be customized in Logi Options+. It can be set up for tasks such as starting a presentation, muting audio, pausing content, or clearing the screen.

With that flexibility, Spotlight 2 feels closer to a presentation control center than a basic clicker. It is also compatible with popular presentation software, including PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote.

Portable hardware with long battery life

Despite the extra features, Logitech has kept the design compact and travel-friendly. Spotlight 2 can connect through Bluetooth or the included Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, giving users two easy wireless options.

The wireless range reaches up to 100 feet. Battery life is rated for up to three months on a full charge, which should cover frequent use without constant charging.

If the battery runs low before an important session, fast charging can help in a pinch. Logitech says one minute of charging is enough for around three hours of presentation time.

A premium remote for frequent presenters

At $130, Spotlight 2 sits firmly in premium territory. Logitech appears to be targeting users who present often and want a remote that can help from the first slide to the last question.

The combination of digital highlighting tools, customizable controls, long battery life, and stress-reduction features gives the product more ambition than an ordinary clicker. In practice, it is built not only to help speakers advance slides, but also to help them feel calmer and stay in control.
