ASUS has officially brought the ROG Phone 9 Series to Indonesia, and the focus is clear: sustained gaming performance without the usual trade-offs. The lineup pairs Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with an AMOLED display that refreshes at 165Hz.
That combination is aimed at mobile gamers who want premium performance and a stable experience during long play sessions. ASUS also says the series received major cooling improvements, so its high-end specs are designed to hold up in real use.
Performance built for demanding games
At the center of the ROG Phone 9 Series is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, a chipset ASUS positions as one of the most powerful mobile platforms available. It can reach speeds of up to 4.3 GHz.
That level of performance matters for competitive titles that depend on fast response times and heavy graphics loads. ASUS is targeting users who want to run games at maximum settings with fewer slowdowns.
A display made for speed
The screen remains one of the most important parts of the ROG experience. ASUS uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD Plus resolution to keep visuals sharp while remaining comfortable for gaming.
The 165Hz refresh rate helps motion look smoother on screen, which is especially useful in fast-paced titles. In certain modes, the panel can even be pushed to 185Hz for more specific use cases.
Cooling gets a bigger role
Strong hardware is only useful if the phone can manage heat well during extended sessions. For that reason, ASUS equips the ROG Phone 9 Series with GameCool 360, a cooling system that is said to be significantly improved over the previous generation.
One of the key upgrades is a graphite sheet with around 57 percent more volume. The added material helps with heat dissipation so performance stays more stable over longer gaming periods.
ASUS also offers support for the AeroActive Cooler X for users who want additional cooling. The accessory is meant for heavier workloads and more consistent performance under pressure.
Battery life and charging remain priorities
Beyond speed and cooling, ASUS has put serious attention into endurance. The ROG Phone 9 Series carries a battery capacity of up to 6000mAh to support longer use without frequent charging.
It also supports 65W fast charging. That gives users a quicker way to get back to gaming, work, or content consumption after the battery runs low.
Camera support for everyday use
Although the ROG Phone 9 Series is clearly designed as a gaming phone, ASUS has not ignored camera performance. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony sensor for everyday photography and digital content creation.
Gimbal OIS is also included on the main camera. The stabilization feature helps produce steadier photos and video, keeping the device relevant beyond gaming alone.
Prices and availability in Indonesia
ASUS is offering the series in multiple variants, giving buyers more room to match specifications with budget. The lineup ranges from a more accessible entry model to a Pro version with larger memory configurations.
ROG Phone 9 FE starts at around Rp6.999.000. ROG Phone 9 Pro is priced from around Rp11.999.000 to Rp17.599.000, depending on the variant and any active promotions.
Customers in Indonesia can buy the devices through the ASUS Online Store and official ASUS retail channels. In East Java, the ASUS Official Store Malang is located at Cyber Mall on the ground floor.
The launch strengthens ASUS’ position in Indonesia’s gaming smartphone market. With Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 165Hz display, GameCool 360, a 6000mAh battery, and 65W charging, the ROG Phone 9 Series is built for users who put gaming performance first.
