OnePlus is preparing a new push in the affordable earbud segment with the Nord Buds 4, which are set to launch on 25 June in India. The headline features are difficult to overlook: real-time active noise cancellation of up to 52dB and a total battery life of up to 54 hours.
Those two numbers position the earbuds as a strong value play in a crowded budget market. OnePlus is also using the launch to extend the Nord Buds line with a successor to the Nord Buds 3, and the changes appear aimed at making the product feel more premium without moving it out of reach.
Noise control and battery life lead the pitch
The 52dB ANC rating is the most aggressive specification in the package. It is designed to help cut down surrounding noise during music playback, video viewing, and calls.
OnePlus will also offer multiple listening modes, allowing users to switch between stronger isolation and settings that keep more of the outside world audible. That flexibility matters for commuters, office use, and everyday listening in mixed environments.
Battery life is another major selling point. OnePlus says the Nord Buds 4 can deliver up to 54 hours of total playback with the charging case, a figure that should appeal to buyers who want fewer charging interruptions.
Fast charging is part of the equation as well. According to OnePlus, just 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 11 hours of playback.
The earbuds also carry TV Rheinland Battery Health Certification, which is intended to support long-term battery reliability. That certification adds an extra layer of confidence for users who plan to keep the earbuds in regular use.
Audio hardware and gaming features
For sound, the Nord Buds 4 use 12mm dynamic drivers with a titanium coating. OnePlus says the tuning is meant to deliver stronger bass and a more immersive listening experience.
Each earbud weighs 4.3 grams, keeping the design light for longer listening sessions. The company has also included 3D Spatial Audio, a feature that previously appeared on the Nord Buds 4 Pro and is now moving down to a more affordable model.
A separate Game Sound Spatial Audio mode is aimed at mobile gamers. It is designed to make key in-game sounds such as footsteps and gunfire easier to notice.
Where the Nord Buds 4 fit in OnePlus’ lineup
The Nord Buds 4 will succeed the Nord Buds 3, and OnePlus says the new model brings meaningful improvements over the previous generation. The launch also arrives just ahead of another OnePlus India event, with the company scheduled to roll out its “N” series on 30 June.
That “N” lineup sits in OnePlus’ budget category, with pricing said to fall between Rs 18,000 and Rs 25,000. While the Nord Buds 4 itself does not yet have a confirmed price, OnePlus is expected to reveal that closer to launch.
As for design choices, the earbuds will be offered in two finishes: Stellar Black and Astral Teal. Distribution is also set to be broad, with availability planned through Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Myntra, the OnePlus website, the OnePlus Store app, OnePlus Experience Stores, and selected partner outlets.
That wide retail footprint suggests OnePlus wants the Nord Buds 4 in front of as many buyers as possible from day one. With 52dB ANC, up to 54 hours of battery life, spatial audio, and gaming-focused sound modes, the earbuds are being positioned as one of the more feature-rich affordable options in the category.
