Blizzard’s Next Warcraft Rumors Point to Classic Plus, Warcraft 4, and an Arthas ARPG

Blizzard’s Warcraft community is once again focused on a wave of rumors that could point to several major projects at the same time. The discussion has pulled together three ideas in particular: WoW Classic Plus, a new Warcraft strategy game, and an ARPG built around Arthas.

The latest speculation began with the codename “Camelot,” which dataminer and insider Stiven_SRB linked to recent datamining and a mysterious Patch 1.60. That connection quickly led fans to wonder whether Blizzard is quietly preparing something significant for WoW Classic.

Why Classic Plus has become the biggest hope

For many players, the most exciting possibility is WoW Classic Plus. The idea centers on expanding original Azeroth with new zones, dungeons, raids, and story content, while avoiding dependence on older expansion paths.

The concept has been discussed inside the community for years, which is why any rumor tied to “Camelot” immediately resonates with long-running fan expectations. One unconfirmed detail also suggests that the project could arrive as early as fall 2026.

A leaked-looking roadmap adds more fuel

Attention intensified after the X account GottaSmokeEmAll posted a screenshot said to come from an internal Warcraft roadmap. The image reportedly places “Camelot” in fall 2026 alongside other future projects.

That same alleged document lists a real-time strategy title called “Warcraft Chronicles” for 2028. A note reading “Anime Series” appears above it, which has led some observers to suspect a broader cross-media plan rather than a single game announcement.

The most eye-catching item is “Arthas ARPG,” shown for 2029. A “Live Action” note appears beside it, adding to the impression that this project may be part of a larger entertainment strategy.

Warcraft 4 remains the fan favorite guess

When fans saw the strategy-game listing, many immediately assumed it could be Warcraft 4. Others, however, believe Blizzard may be working on an entirely new title rather than a direct continuation of the classic RTS series.

There is also a more cautious reading of the rumor. Some fans worry the project could end up being mobile-focused, which means the alleged strategy entry is still far from a confirmed return to the Warcraft RTS format.

What an Arthas ARPG could mean

The Arthas project has drawn separate attention because the concept is easy for fans to imagine. If real, it would resemble a Warcraft world shaped around an ARPG structure, with Arthas at the center of the story.

Even so, the evidence remains uncertain. The screenshot has not been definitively verified, and some users say they have seen the same image years ago, though that claim has not been proven either.

For now, the rumor set should be treated carefully. Still, the combination of Classic Plus, Warcraft 4 speculation, and an Arthas ARPG is enough to make this round of Blizzard chatter feel unusually large in scope.
