Lenovo is offering the Yoga 7a 2-in-1 with a 27% discount for a limited time, and the configuration is unusually strong for a promotion. The unit is listed at $1,159 and combines 24 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 “Gorgon Point” in one thin convertible package.
What makes the package stand out
For buyers focused on everyday productivity, the appeal goes beyond the headline discount. Large memory and storage capacities remain valuable as RAM and flash prices stay elevated, and this model arrives with both in generous amounts.
The purchase also depends on checkout coupons. Lenovo says shoppers must enter “BUYMORELENOVO” and “YOGABFJUNEUS1” to get the discounted price.
OLED panel is the main attraction
The Yoga 7a uses a 14-inch 1200p OLED touchscreen, giving it a display profile that suits both content consumption and lighter creative work. In testing, the panel covered 99.3% of the DCI-P3 gamut, which points to strong color performance.
Calibration results were also described as excellent, and the OLED response time is fast. The 60 Hz refresh rate is modest compared with some productivity laptops, but it remains reasonable for this class of device.
Brightness is the area where the screen is less impressive. Measurements reached about 370 nits, slightly below Lenovo’s 400-nit claim, so outdoor use in strong sunlight could be difficult.
Everyday performance with a clear limit
Inside, Lenovo pairs the machine with a six-core AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 “Gorgon Point” processor. That setup should handle single-core and multi-core workloads well enough for casual to moderate productivity tasks.
The stronger selling point is the 24 GB of LPDDR5X memory. That amount gives the Yoga 7a more breathing room for multitasking than many other thin laptops in the same category.
Its integrated graphics are less notable. Radeon 840M is described as suitable mainly for very light tasks and casual gaming at low settings, and it trails the four-core Xe3 iGPU in the Core Ultra 7 355 by about 29%.
Upgradeable storage, but not memory
One important compromise is the soldered memory. Because the RAM cannot be upgraded later, the 24 GB configuration is the final limit for this system.
The good news is that the M.2 2242 storage is not soldered. That means the SSD can still be replaced in the future if more storage or a different drive is needed.
At 15.4 mm thick, the Yoga 7a stays relatively slim, and the 180-degree hinge adds flexibility across its 2-in-1 modes. Lenovo also equips it with two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI 2.1, an audio jack, and a microSD slot.
Battery life remains a strong selling point
Battery endurance is another area where the Yoga 7a performs well. In web browsing tests at 150 nits, it lasted for more than 14 hours.
That combination of OLED display, large memory, long battery life, and a limited-time discount makes the Yoga 7a a persuasive option for buyers who want a versatile thin-and-light laptop. The main trade-offs are the non-upgradable RAM and the modest integrated graphics, both of which should be weighed before purchasing.
