Redmi K90 Ultra arrives as one of Xiaomi’s most aggressive upper-tier phones yet, combining flagship-class performance with features aimed squarely at gaming and entertainment. The device pairs Snapdragon 8 Elite with a 165Hz AMOLED display, a large battery, and stereo speakers tuned by Bose.
Rather than relying on raw specifications alone, Xiaomi has also added an active cooling system and a set of durability ratings that make the phone stand out in its class. The result is a handset that tries to balance speed, endurance, and multimedia quality in one package.
Display built for smooth motion
The Redmi K90 Ultra uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,280 pixels. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, which should help with both fast-paced content and outdoor visibility.
Xiaomi also includes DC dimming on the display. That feature is meant to reduce flicker at certain brightness levels and improve comfort during long viewing sessions.
Flagship hardware with extra cooling
At the core of the phone is Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with LPDDR5X RAM of up to 16GB and UFS 4.1 storage of up to 512GB. The configuration places the device firmly in premium territory, especially for users who want sustained performance.
To keep that performance stable, Xiaomi has built in active cooling hardware. The system includes an 18.1mm fan that is said to operate at around 32dB, while a dedicated D2 graphics chip is also present to boost gaming performance.
Cameras, battery, and charging
On the back, the Redmi K90 Ultra carries a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor and OIS, joined by an 8MP ultrawide camera. The front camera uses a 20MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
Battery life is another major selling point, with Xiaomi fitting an 8,550mAh battery into the device. The phone supports 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging, but it does not include wireless charging.

Audio focus and software
Audio is another area where Xiaomi is pushing the K90 Ultra toward a more premium profile. The phone uses symmetrical stereo speakers that are tuned by Bose, a detail that may appeal to users who care about media playback as much as gaming.
The software side is equally current, with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 installed out of the box. Xiaomi is offering the phone in Space Silver, Shadow Black, and Sky Blue.
Durability and market availability
The Redmi K90 Ultra carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. That gives it a broader durability profile than many mainstream phones in the same segment.
Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the model will remain exclusive to China or eventually reach global markets. For now, the company has only detailed the Chinese pricing and configurations.
