Citizen has added four new models to its Promaster Marine line, and the biggest change is not just the fresh color palette. The new series pairs a more compact 40.6 mm case with the latest Eco-Drive movement, aiming to make a classic dive watch easier to wear every day.
That combination matters for buyers who want a capable diver without the bulk often associated with modern tool watches. At 11.7 mm thick and 86 grams, the watch is positioned as a more balanced option for wrists that prefer a smaller footprint.
Four models, four distinct looks
The lineup is built around the same case and core specification, but each model uses a different dial, bezel, and strap combination. BN0265-00A comes with a white dial, black bezel, and olive-green band.
BN0266-07E goes in the opposite direction with an all-black dial, bezel, and strap. BN0268-01E is the boldest of the group, using an orange strap and bezel with a black dial.
BN0267-04L takes a more traditional route with a navy strap, matching bezel, and a blue gradient dial. In practical terms, the four watches give Citizen a wider style spread without changing the underlying diver formula.
| Model | Dial | Bezel | Strap |
|---|---|---|---|
| BN0265-00A | White | Black | Olive Green |
| BN0266-07E | Black | Black | Black |
| BN0267-04L | Blue Gradient | Navy | Navy |
| BN0268-01E | Black | Orange | Orange |
Built to stay true to the diver brief
Despite the more playful color options, the watches remain firmly rooted in Promaster Marine territory. All four models use a unidirectional rotating bezel, 200-meter water resistance, a date window at 3 o’clock, and type 1 magnetic resistance.
Citizen also fits each watch with a mineral crystal and a 20 mm BENEBiOL urethane strap. The biomaterial-based strap, developed from plant-based material by Mitsubishi Chemical Group, has already appeared on other Citizen dive watches such as the Promaster Wave Tracker JV3000-13E and the Promaster Dive EO2023-00W limited edition.
Eco-Drive E118 is the technical headline
The main upgrade under the dial is the new Eco-Drive Caliber E118. Powered by light, the movement is rated to an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and delivers about one year of power reserve when fully charged.
Citizen says the improved energy efficiency extends endurance from roughly six months to about one year. That efficiency gain also gives the brand more freedom to use livelier dial colors without compromising the watch’s power system.
A more wearable size for a wider audience
With a 40.6 mm stainless steel case, the new Promaster Marine sits on the more approachable end of the diver-watch spectrum. The 11.7 mm thickness should also help it fit more easily under a shirt cuff than many larger sports watches.
That smaller profile is likely a deliberate move to reach buyers who like the rugged character of a dive watch but do not want something oversized. It keeps the familiar Promaster look intact while making the package more suitable for daily wear.
Price and availability
In Japan, the new Promaster Marine models are priced at ¥69,300, which is about $426. Citizen says the collection will eventually expand to the US and other global markets, although no international release schedule has been announced yet.
The four references in the new range are BN0265-00A, BN0266-07E, BN0267-04L, and BN0268-01E. With a smaller case, stronger power efficiency, and a broader color mix, Citizen is clearly trying to refresh one of its best-known dive watch families without changing its core identity.
