The strongest attention-grabber is the reported support for up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-800 RAM, a figure that places it well beyond most handheld gaming products.
That memory ceiling is paired with AMD Strix Halo hardware, including the Ryzen AI Max+ 388 and Ryzen AI Max+ 395, according to early details that have started circulating online. If those specifications hold, the device will be aimed not only at gaming, but also at demanding workloads that usually belong to smaller notebooks.
Display and power are built for a different class of handheld
The screen is another major reason the Win Max 3 stands out. It is said to use a 9.06-inch AMOLED panel with a 2,400 x 1,504 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate, a combination that is rare in this category.
Battery capacity also suggests that GPD is preparing for heavier use cases. The device is reportedly equipped with a 97 Wh battery, which should help it stay competitive during longer sessions if the final product matches the leak.

The first details reportedly surfaced on Bilibili through a user named MuBuS, while Droix said it had received similar information from an unnamed source. GPD Store also appears confident that the circulating details are accurate, although none of the information has been officially finalized yet.
For now, pricing, availability, and the official announcement timeline remain unconfirmed. GPD had already mentioned the device in October 2025, but the current leak phase still leaves room for changes before launch.
Even so, the combination of up to 128 GB of RAM, an AMOLED 165 Hz display, and high-end Strix Halo silicon makes Win Max 3 one of the most striking handheld concepts to surface so far. If the final hardware matches the leaked outline, it could become one of the most ambitious Windows handhelds in the market.
