Denza D9 Dark Gold Adds Real Gold Details, and the Price Jumps by Rp79 Million

Denza has introduced a new Dark Gold variant for the D9, giving its premium MPV a more exclusive look without changing the vehicle’s core formula. The update pairs deep black bodywork with gold accents, while the price rises by around Rp79 million.

For buyers in the upper MPV segment, this kind of change can matter as much as hardware. Visual distinction and prestige often carry real weight, and Dark Gold is clearly aimed at customers who want both.

Gold Details That Stand Out Immediately

Starting July 7, Denza began offering the Dark Gold colorway. The design uses a black-and-gold combination across several exterior elements to create a more elegant appearance while keeping the D9’s familiar character intact.

The large shield-shaped front grille remains in place as one of the model’s defining features. Gold trim around it adds a more premium impression, making the Dark Gold edition visually distinct from the standard version.

The front and rear Denza badges also receive real gold plating. That detail becomes one of the most noticeable changes on the Dark Gold variant and reinforces its upscale positioning.

Same Size, Same Spacious Cabin

Denza has not altered the D9’s dimensions for this edition. The MPV still measures 5,250 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,900 mm in height.

Those proportions help preserve the roomy cabin that is central to the model’s appeal. The update therefore focuses on appearance rather than structural changes, keeping the D9’s family-friendly and premium character unchanged.

A Premium Strategy for a Premium Market

The second-generation Denza D9 was previously introduced in China on May 1, 2026. It is sold there in a price range of 359,800 yuan to 469,800 yuan, or about Rp686 million to Rp1.24 billion.

According to radarmadura.jawapos.com, the Dark Gold addition shows Denza is expanding the choice set in the premium MPV segment. Black and gold were selected because they are strongly associated with elegance and exclusivity, two traits that are especially valuable in this class.

The roughly Rp79 million increase reflects the exclusive color treatment and premium materials. Even with the higher price, the Dark Gold variant keeps the D9’s main strengths intact for buyers who want a more striking presence.

Variant Main Color / Feature Price Impact
Dark Gold Deep black with gold accents, badges plated in real gold Up by around Rp79 million
Standard Denza D9 Regular look with shield-shaped grille No similar increase mentioned

The new option adds another layer of personalization to China’s premium vehicle market. For Denza, Dark Gold is a way to strengthen the D9’s luxury image without changing the formula that has already made the model recognizable.
