Caviar has turned the identities of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo into ultra-limited luxury smartphones, with only 19 units made for each edition. The Messi version starts at 13,130 US dollars, or around Rp 235 million, while the Ronaldo model starts at 11,410 US dollars, or around Rp 204 million.
The two devices belong to the Legends Collection, which is positioned around the closing period of the 2026 World Cup. The tournament is expected to be the final World Cup appearance for both football stars.
| Model | Production | Starting Price |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Messi edition, 256 GB | 19 units | 13,130 US dollars, around Rp 235 million |
| iPhone 17 Pro Ronaldo edition, 256 GB | 19 units | 11,410 US dollars, around Rp 204 million |
The stated prices apply to the 256 GB variants. Across the two main Legends Collection models, the combined production total is only 38 devices.
Luxury Exterior, Original Phone Hardware
The high price is driven by Caviar’s external customization rather than changes to the phones’ core hardware. The specifications and features remain those of the original Samsung and Apple models used as the base devices.
Both editions use cloisonné enamel to create their visual elements on the rear panel. Their differences come from the colors, national symbols, jersey numbers, and portraits selected for each player.
Every buyer will receive special packaging alongside the handset. The package includes a gold-plated key and an exclusive coin bearing the Caviar name.
Messi Edition Draws on Argentina
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Messi edition presents Argentina-inspired styling on its rear panel. It features an illustration of Messi, his number 10 shirt number, and several Argentine national symbols.
White and light blue dominate the design in reference to Argentina’s national team colors. The frame and decorative lines are finished with 24-karat gold plating.
Caviar said that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra used for the Messi edition is scheduled to debut on 22 July. The limited model retains the foldable phone’s original specifications despite its redesigned exterior.
Ronaldo Edition Uses Portugal Colors
The Ronaldo version is based on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max lines. Its design includes a portrait of the player known as CR7, his number 7, Portugal’s emblem, and a geometric backdrop.
Red and green are the dominant colors, reflecting the Portuguese flag. Its frame and decorative accents also receive 24-karat gold plating.
Caviar has also outlined plans for an Erling Haaland-themed iPhone Ultra. That model is expected to enter production after Apple launches a new device, which is anticipated in September.
Information about the collection was compiled by tekno.kompas.com from Gizmochina. The project illustrates how luxury personalization can substantially raise a phone’s selling price without changing its standard technical capabilities.
