XL, AXIS and Smartfren customers can receive six months of Google Gemini Plus access at no extra cost when they purchase eligible internet plans. The XLSmart and Google programme has been offered since 2 July 2026.
The offer is designed to pair mobile data with AI tools for studying, work, idea generation and creative content production. Customers must first complete an eligible purchase, then claim the benefit through their operator’s application.
How the Offer Is Claimed
Buying a qualifying plan does not automatically activate the Google Gemini Plus benefit. Customers need to sign in through the relevant operator application and use an active Google account during activation.
XL customers can claim the offer through myXL, while AXIS users must use AXISNET and Smartfren users must access mySF. The Google account selected during the claim process is the account intended for accessing the benefit.
The six-month access period remains subject to the programme’s terms and conditions. Customers are also required to maintain the applicable validity period of their internet plan.

For XL, the qualifying condition is an internet package with a minimum seven-day validity period. Smartfren applies the same minimum validity requirement to its eligible plans.
AXIS customers must make their purchase through AXISNET, with eligible packages starting at Rp 25.000. The differences in purchase routes and package requirements mean customers should check their own operator’s offer before claiming.
AI Access Bundled With Connectivity
XLSmart Chief Marketing Officer Alfons Bosch Sansa said the collaboration was designed around the needs of different customer segments. “Through collaboration with Google, XL, AXIS and Smartfren customers can use Gemini Plus AI technology to support a range of daily needs,” he said in Jakarta.
Alfons said Gemini Plus provides Google’s best capabilities and frontier models. The service also includes benefits from the wider Google ecosystem, including Google Cloud.
5G Expansion Forms Part of the Context
XLSmart has linked AI use with the need for fast and responsive connectivity. The company said it continues to expand 5G blanket coverage across cities and regencies in Indonesia.
Alfons stated that XLSmart has the widest 5G network, while Google brings one of the world’s largest AI ecosystems. The combination of Google Gemini Plus access and network expansion is expected to support a more stable, responsive and inclusive digital experience.
