Honda Stylo 160 Turns More Luxurious And Retro, Burgundy ABS Crosses The Premium Line

PT Astra Honda Motor has refreshed the Honda Stylo 160 with a special Burgundy color for the ABS variant, giving the scooter a richer retro look and a more premium street presence. The update also broadens the model’s color range, which now targets riders who want a fashionable scooter that still fits daily urban use.

The new Burgundy option stands out as the most exclusive trim in the lineup, with a price of about $2,150 USD based on the Jakarta on-the-road price equivalent from Rp33,936,000. That positioning puts the Stylo 160 firmly in the premium scooter segment, where design, features, and brand image carry as much weight as performance.

A stronger retro identity with premium details

The Burgundy ABS version does more than add a new paint choice. Honda pairs the color with a two-tone seat, dark brown footboard accents, and a copper-toned Stylo emblem that matches the rear grab handle.

The body also gets black chrome garnish on the side panels and headlight cap. Those visual changes create a more upscale finish while keeping the scooter’s classic-modern character intact.

Honda’s approach here is clear: make the Stylo 160 look more expressive without drifting away from the retro-inspired formula that defines the model. For buyers who want a scooter that feels stylish at first glance, the new finish gives the bike a stronger emotional appeal.

More color options across ABS and CBS trims

The Burgundy launch is part of a broader refresh, not a single-color experiment. On the ABS variant, Honda also introduces Royal Blue and Royal Brown, which join the existing Royal Green option.

The CBS version also gets a new Glam White choice, adding to Glam Black and Glam Beige. That means the Stylo 160 now offers seven color options in total, giving buyers more room to choose a look that suits personal taste.

Here is a simple breakdown of the updated color lineup:

  1. ABS: Special Burgundy
  2. ABS: Royal Blue
  3. ABS: Royal Brown
  4. ABS: Royal Green
  5. CBS: Glam White
  6. CBS: Glam Black
  7. CBS: Glam Beige

The design treatment also differs slightly by trim. The ABS version uses black front suspension and a black rear grab handle, while the headlamp area gets silver accents. The CBS trim carries silver detailing on the front suspension and grab handle, with a more elegant logo treatment.

Price positioning in the premium scooter market

Honda places the Stylo 160 Special Burgundy at the top of the range, with a Jakarta OTR price equivalent of about $2,150 USD. Other ABS colors are priced around $2,056 USD, while all CBS variants sit at roughly $1,868 USD.

That pricing strategy suggests Honda is using the new color as both a style statement and a value marker. The higher price on Burgundy is not about mechanical changes, but about exclusivity and presentation.

Honda Stylo 160 price table, Jakarta OTR equivalent

VariantColorPrice
ABSSpecial Burgundy~$2,150 USD
ABSOther ABS colors~$2,056 USD
CBSAll CBS colors~$1,868 USD

For many urban buyers, that price gap may still be acceptable if the design feels more distinctive. In a market where scooter ownership often reflects lifestyle as much as transport needs, visual identity can be a major purchase factor.

160cc engine and practical everyday features

Under the bodywork, the Honda Stylo 160 keeps its 160cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine with eSP+ technology. Honda says the engine delivers 11.3 kW at 8,500 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, figures that support responsive commuting performance.

The scooter also carries a practical set of features for daily use. Full LED lighting, an integrated front turn signal design, and a smoked rear lamp help the scooter look modern while improving visibility.

Storage and convenience remain important selling points too. The 16.5-liter underseat compartment, 5-liter fuel tank, USB Type-A charger, front and center pockets, and foldable hook all support typical city riding needs.

Safety and convenience remain part of the package

Honda also includes the Honda Smart Key System with alarm on the model, which adds convenience and theft protection. This feature is especially relevant in the premium scooter category, where buyers often expect modern security functions alongside style.

Octavianus Dwi, Marketing Director of AHM, said the new colors are intended to meet consumer demand for a more confident riding style. His remarks underline how Honda is positioning the Stylo 160 not just as a scooter, but as a mobility product that blends elegance, function, and personal expression.

With Burgundy joining the lineup, the Honda Stylo 160 gains a stronger premium identity at a time when design-led scooters continue to attract urban buyers. The expanded color range gives the model more flexibility in a competitive segment, while the 160cc engine and everyday features keep it relevant for riders who want both style and practicality.
