AXIS Leads On Entry Price, Telkomsel Delivers The Most Complete Hajj Internet Package

For pilgrims preparing for Hajj, the real difference among mobile internet packages is not always the headline price. The gap often appears in what each package actually includes: roaming quota, domestic data that can be used before departure, longer validity periods, or extras such as international calls and SMS.

That is why the cheapest option on the list is not automatically the most suitable one. AXIS may offer the lowest entry price, but Telkomsel stands out with the most complete package features, while other operators bring their own advantages in quota size, coverage, and purchase flexibility.

Price gaps remain relatively narrow

Across the main Hajj internet packages, the prices do not differ dramatically. AXIS offers one of the lowest starting points through its Mabrur 20GB starter pack at Rp345.000, which includes 10GB for Saudi Arabia, 10GB local quota, and 45 days of validity.

SMARTFREN follows with its Hajj Data Roaming Package 15GB at Rp449.000. Telkomsel begins its RoaMAX Hajj internet offers from Rp500.000, while Tri opens its Hajj package range from Rp650.000.

What each operator emphasizes

The lowest-priced option is not always the most practical one for every pilgrim. A slightly higher package can provide a larger quota, longer active period, or extra communication benefits that matter more during travel.

Telkomsel’s RoaMAX Hajj 2026 is the clearest example of a more complete offering. It provides up to 42GB of data, 1GB transit quota usable in 13 countries, 2GB domestic quota, 5G access up to 100 Mbps, VoLTE support, and free Qara’a subscription fees.

The operator also offers a Combo RoaMAX Hajj option that adds up to 150 calling minutes and 150 SMS, starting from Rp610.000. That makes it a stronger choice for users who want internet access and voice communication in one package.

Packages with added domestic-use value

Several operators also try to support use before departure from Indonesia. XL Prepaid offers Internet Hajj & Umrah 5GB + 1GB for Rp185.000, while the more complete Hajj package on the list starts at Rp355.000 for 10GB + 10GB.

XL also provides larger prepaid options of up to 50 GB. For new XL PRIORITAS customers, PRIO Hajj includes 10GB Saudi Arabia quota, 30GB local quota, 100 minutes of calls to other operators, validity of up to 6 months, and a price of Rp650.000.

Tri takes a similar approach by including 1GB of domestic quota in many of its packages. Its Hajj package starts with 19GB plus 1GB domestic quota for 30 days, giving users room to stay connected in Indonesia before leaving for Saudi Arabia.

Coverage and access options also differ

Tri’s Hajj service stands out for its broad country coverage. It can be used in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, China, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Egypt, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.

SMARTFREN focuses more on access flexibility. Its packages can be purchased through MySF, the *888# dial menu, SMARTFREN galleries, and e-commerce platforms such as Tokopedia and Shopee.

AXIS also highlights ease of access for pilgrims. The AXIS MABRUR package is available through AXISNET and at various Hajj posts, with additional call, SMS, and internet packages starting from Rp97,000.

Which option fits best depends on the need

If the priority is the lowest upfront price, AXIS MABRUR 20GB at Rp345.000 appears to be the cheapest among the main packages listed. But users who want larger data allowances may find better value in SMARTFREN’s 17GB option at Rp499.000 or Telkomsel’s RoaMAX Hajj line with quotas of up to 42 GB and a longer validity period.

For pilgrims who need communication support from Indonesia onward, Tri and XL both offer useful domestic quota advantages. The final choice comes down to whether the main need is a lower starting price, more data, a longer active period, or extra call and SMS benefits.
