Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra is already shaping up to be one of the brand’s most talked-about flagships, even though the device is still in the rumor phase. The latest leaks point to a noticeable design shift, with Samsung apparently preparing a cleaner look that could separate the Ultra more clearly from recent generations.
The biggest change centers on the camera layout. Instead of the familiar vertical arrangement used on many Galaxy Ultra models, Samsung is said to be testing a horizontal, pill-shaped camera bar that would sit across the back of the phone and give it a far more modern appearance.
A new camera identity
Reports suggest the camera module may come in black or in a color matched to the body, helping it blend into the overall design. That approach would create a neater visual finish and move the Galaxy S27 Ultra away from the scattered camera styling that has defined several recent Samsung flagships.

Internal challenges remain
Despite the ambitious plans, development is said to face at least one internal challenge. A term described as “RAMageddon” has surfaced, pointing to possible difficulties in optimizing memory performance.
