Yoga Slim 7x Gets a Lower Entry Price, but Keeps Its 14-Inch OLED 120Hz Appeal

Lenovo has made the Yoga Slim 7x easier to reach by lowering the starting price in selected global markets. The move gives the thin-and-light premium laptop a more accessible entry point while keeping its core appeal centered on a 14-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The model in focus is the Yoga Slim 7x 14Q8Y11. In some markets, Lenovo now lists a starting configuration at $1,099 with a Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100, 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and a 1200p OLED panel.

A more approachable entry into the premium class

The lower starting price does not change the product’s main identity. Lenovo still positions the Yoga Slim 7x as a premium ultrathin notebook that prioritizes a smooth visual experience and strong portability.

That positioning is reinforced by the display choice. The 14-inch OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate remains the main selling point, and it keeps the laptop in the segment of machines aimed at users who value both image quality and fluid motion.

All configurations based on Snapdragon X2 chips come with a 70 Wh battery. That detail keeps the series aligned with mobile use cases, where battery life and portability matter as much as performance.

Options beyond the entry model

Lenovo is also offering a higher-tier Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-80-100 option for an additional $160. The chip is described as the closest successor to the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100, which had already been tested in the previous generation.

For buyers who want a more serious configuration, Lenovo also provides LPDDR5X-9523 32 GB RAM, a 2 TB M.2 2242 SSD, and a 2.8K OLED display. That panel still supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 1,100 nits.

These options show that the Yoga Slim 7x is not only meant to attract shoppers looking for a cheaper way into the premium category. Lenovo is also keeping a higher-spec path open for heavier workloads and longer-term use.

Pricing varies by region

The revised pricing is not limited to one country. Lenovo has also set starting prices for the Yoga Slim 7x in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the Eurozone.

Those prices begin at AUD 2,049, CAD 1,649, £1,050, and €1,250-€1,649. The variation reflects how Lenovo is adjusting the lineup for different markets while keeping the same overall product direction.

Across those regions, the message is consistent. Lenovo wants the Yoga Slim 7x to remain a premium 14-inch OLED laptop, but with a lower barrier to entry for buyers who may have previously found it too expensive.
