Garena Arena of Valor is turning Athanor into a far harsher battlefield through its Attack on Titan crossover. The event, which begins on 1 May 2026, does more than swap in themed cosmetics; it reshapes how matches feel across heroes, objectives, and map presentation.
The collaboration leans heavily into the anime’s intensity and survival-driven tone. Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackermann, and Levi are all brought into the game through adapted skins designed to make battles feel closer to humanity’s last stand.
Titan power becomes the main attraction
Among the most notable additions is “Cresht x Eren Jaeger,” a skin that can transform into the Attack Titan. Its effects are built around the feeling of a massive, destructive impact in a single strike.
“Aoi x Mikasa Ackermann” takes a different approach by emphasizing speed and aerial precision. The skin mirrors Mikasa’s signature ODM Gear-inspired movement with agile motion and sharp attacks in the air.
Levi is represented through “Nakroth x Levi,” which focuses on fast, decisive, and lethal combat. Garena also adapted the visual and audio effects across these exclusive skins to draw from iconic moments in the anime.
A new threat replaces Dark Slayer
The biggest gameplay shift comes at the main objective area, where Dark Slayer is replaced by Beast Titan. This Titan brings long-range attacks that add a new layer of danger to contesting the objective.
Defeating Beast Titan also has a direct strategic payoff. Once taken down, it summons Abnormal Titan to help push lanes, increasing pressure on the opposing team and changing the pace of objective fights.
That change makes the map feel more aggressive as soon as teams start fighting over control. It is also one of the clearest signs that this crossover is meant to affect the flow of play, not only the game’s visual style.
Athanor gets a darker makeover
The battlefield itself is also receiving a visual overhaul with Paradise Island and Marley influences. The map includes Easter eggs and wall-inspired architectural details that echo the struggle seen in Attack on Titan.
Limited-time minions and spritelings themed after Colossal Titan and Cart Titan add to that atmosphere. Their presence makes each wave feel like a giant invasion moving toward the enemy base.
These changes give Athanor a more ominous identity across the entire map. The crossover is visible not only on selected heroes, but in the battlefield environment itself.
Free rewards and event missions
Garena is also offering a free skin through in-game missions. Players who complete special tasks can unlock “Qi x Annie Leonhart,” which reimagines Qi with a more tactical, close-range fighting style inspired by the Female Titan.
The event missions vary from daily challenges to limited-time kill accumulation tasks. That setup gives players multiple ways to progress while the collaboration is active.
Other rewards are tied to the broader event lineup as well. Garena is preparing Attack on Titan-themed avatar items, profile frames, and interactive emotes to accompany the collaboration.
Scout Regiment content expands the lineup
Two event themes, “Pertahanan Wall Maria” and “Usir Para Titan,” further widen the reward pool. Through those activities, players can collect the “Armored Titan” outfit and the special “Heino: Scout Regiment” skin.
The crossover’s reward structure is built to keep players returning throughout the event period. With premium skins, free unlocks, themed cosmetics, and a reworked objective area, AOV x Attack on Titan brings one of the game’s most aggressive thematic updates to Athanor.
