Amazfit users are getting a software push that looks more substantial than the usual cosmetic update. Zepp Health is preparing features that focus on training, fitness analysis, and third-party service integration, and the rollout is not limited to only the newest watches.
That approach matters because several older Amazfit models are still in line for support. Instead of leaving past devices behind once new hardware arrives, Zepp Health appears to be extending the useful life of watches that remain part of its ecosystem.
Balance gets the most visible upgrade
Amazfit Balance is one of the clearest beneficiaries of the upcoming update. Zepp Health says BioCharge support is scheduled to arrive this month, alongside integrations for Helio Strap, TrainingPeaks, and Intervals.icu.
The plan also includes Stryd support. Together, these additions suggest that Balance is still being treated as an active product rather than a watch that has already been pushed aside by newer releases.
Older models are still on the list
Amazfit T-Rex 3 is also included among the devices set to receive new features. Zepp Health has not yet detailed exactly what will arrive on that model, but its inclusion signals that software support is continuing across more than one generation of devices.
Active 3 Premium is expected to gain a workout calendar and several other features later this month. That wider pattern shows that Zepp Health is still willing to update watches that have already been available for some time.
Zepp OS 6 and Zepp Flow are also changing
The update wave is not limited to individual watch models. Zepp OS 6 is also planned for a broader lineup this month, while Zepp Flow will receive new functionality.
One of the planned changes is smarter or more detailed responses when users ask about Launcher 2.0. For users, that could make interactions on the watch feel a little more practical and responsive.
Training tools remain the main focus
Zepp Health is also preparing new workout features with a strong emphasis on analysis. The company says exhaustion levels and lactate threshold will get changes in either appearance or calculation, and users will also get more workout options.
A final timeline for all of those additions has not been confirmed. Even so, the direction is clear: the company is still investing in fitness-centric tools rather than limiting attention to hardware refreshes alone.
A strategy built around longer support
The result is a notable software strategy for relatively affordable Amazfit watches. Models that are already in circulation are still receiving attention as long as they remain inside Zepp Health’s software plans.
For users, that means newer features may arrive without requiring a new watch right away. In a smartwatch market that moves quickly, that kind of continued support can be one of the most important reasons to stay with the same ecosystem.
