The arrival of nubia Neo 5 Series in Indonesia puts a rare set of gaming-focused features into one package. nubia introduced the series through a gaming showcase and positioned both models for users who care about fast visuals and active cooling. The lineup consists of nubia Neo 5 5G and nubia Neo 5 GT, with both devices designed to keep performance steady during long gaming sessions.
The most distinctive model is the nubia Neo 5 GT, which is presented as the first smartphone in its class to bring an internal cooling fan. That cooling system is paired with VC Cooling and a layer of Graphene, creating a thermal setup intended to manage heat more effectively when games run for extended periods.
nubia says the combined cooling system is not just a visual feature. The approach is meant to reduce overheating risk and support consistent performance in fast-paced genres such as FPS and MOBA.
Display and control features built for gaming
The Neo 5 GT uses a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. That specification is aimed at smoother animation, faster visual response, and a more fluid feel when moving through menus or playing games.
The display also carries SGS Eye Care Low Blue Light certification. For users who spend long hours gaming, that adds a comfort layer that may help reduce eye fatigue.
Control is another major part of the package. The Neo 5 Series includes Dual Gaming Shoulder Triggers with a 550Hz response rate, and nubia claims the response time is under 5.5 milliseconds.

Battery specs also reflect the gaming focus. The nubia Neo 5 GT carries a dual-cell 6,210mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging, while the nubia Neo 5 5G comes with a 6,050mAh battery.
Both devices support Bypass Charging. With this feature, power can go directly to the device during gameplay, rather than continuously charging the battery.
