The used Yamaha XMax market is drawing more attention because the price gap versus a new unit remains wide. For many buyers in the maxi-scooter segment, that difference makes a pre-owned XMax a more practical entry point without giving up the premium feel of the model.
The appeal is easy to understand. A new Yamaha XMax 250 still sits at a high level, with the Connected variant listed at Rp 67 jutaan and the Tech Max variant at Rp 73 jutaan on Yamaha’s official website.
The sweet spot is the 2019–2021 range
Among used units, the most sought-after period appears to be 2019 to 2021. As of May 2026, a 2019 XMax is circulating at around Rp 40 juta to Rp 50 juta, while the 2020 model sits in the Rp 43 juta to Rp 54 juta range.
The 2021 model is priced a little higher, at roughly Rp 45 juta to Rp 57 juta. Even so, that range still places it far below the cost of a new unit while keeping the same core maxi-scooter character that many buyers want for daily use and touring.
Older and newer units show how prices move
The market also shows a clear pattern as model years change. A 2017 XMax is offered around Rp 35 juta to Rp 45 juta, and the 2018 model rises slightly to about Rp 37 juta to Rp 47 juta.
Prices then climb again for younger units. The 2022 XMax is listed at around Rp 47 juta to Rp 59 juta, followed by the 2023 model at roughly Rp 50 juta to Rp 63 juta.
For buyers looking further up the range, the 2024 XMax is at about Rp 54 juta to Rp 67 juta, while the 2025 model reaches around Rp 59 juta to Rp 71 juta. This progression shows why many shoppers still focus on earlier years when trying to balance budget and value.
Condition matters as much as model year
The asking price of a used XMax is not determined by production year alone. Motor condition, document completeness, tax status, and how quickly the seller wants to move the unit all influence the final number in the market.
A well-kept machine can command a stronger price, even within the same year group. At the same time, the numbers circulating in the market are not fixed rules, since real-world pricing can still shift depending on usage history and the bike’s actual condition when offered.
Checks that should not be skipped
Before a transaction, buyers need to pay close attention to STNK and BPKB completeness. Tax status also deserves early checking so that a low purchase price does not turn into extra costs after the deal is done.
The engine should be a main focus during inspection. A unit that runs smoothly with minimal vibration is generally more worth the asking price than one that needs repairs.
Body condition also plays a major role in resale value. Minimal scratches and no signs of a crash usually add value and make the bike easier to sell later. Mileage and service history should also be reviewed, since relatively low kilometers and routine maintenance suggest the scooter has not been used excessively.
Features help separate newer units from older ones
On newer examples, electrical features need to be checked carefully. Keyless systems and TFT panels on later variants should be confirmed to work properly before any price is agreed.
For buyers who want more advanced equipment, XMax models from 2023 to 2025 offer stronger appeal. Their main attractions are the TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and navigation, which place them higher in feature content than the 2019 to 2021 group.
Still, the 2019 to 2021 period remains the most hunted in the used market because it delivers a large price drop without losing the comfort and premium image that make the Yamaha XMax stand out. For many buyers, that balance is the reason the older units continue to attract strong interest.
