Oppo is preparing to bring two new Find X9 models to Indonesia on 26 May, and the pair is set to target two different kinds of flagship buyers. One model leans hard into photography and top-end performance, while the other focuses on a more compact body without giving up premium hardware.
The launch matters because both devices had already appeared in China in April, and their arrival in Indonesia will widen Oppo’s flagship lineup with a more segmented approach. That means buyers will soon have to choose between a larger, more ambitious device and a smaller option that still carries high-end cameras and a large battery.
Find X9 Ultra aims for the most complete flagship package
Among the two, the Find X9 Ultra is the more aggressive model. It measures around 163 x 77 x 8.7 mm and weighs 235 grams, making it a sizable phone built for users who want a full-scale premium device.
Its display is a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. Oppo says the screen supports an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, can reach 144Hz in some games, and peaks at 3600 nits, while also offering Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and high-frequency PWM support.
Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 built on a 3nm process. The octa-core chip is claimed to go up to 4.6 GHz and is paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, with memory options reaching 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
Camera hardware is the main headline
The strongest selling point of the Find X9 Ultra is its camera setup. Oppo equips it with a quad Hasselblad system, led by a 200MP Sony LYT-901 main camera with an f/1.5 aperture and OIS.
That is joined by a 200MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with OIS, a 50MP 10x periscope telephoto camera with OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. On the front, the phone uses a 50MP selfie camera, while video recording support goes up to 8K.
Oppo also includes Hasselblad Master Mode and high dynamic range support, reinforcing the phone’s focus on advanced photography. For users who care most about zoom range, detail capture, and flexibility, the Ultra is clearly positioned as the more ambitious option.
Large battery and premium extras round out the Ultra
Battery life is another major part of the Find X9 Ultra’s appeal. The phone carries a 7050mAh battery and supports 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging.
It ships with Android 16 and ColorOS 16, and Oppo says the device will receive up to five years of major OS updates. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, stereo speakers, and a high level of water and dust resistance.
Find X9s offers a smaller body with flagship essentials
The Find X9s takes a different route by aiming for users who want something easier to hold and use one-handed. Its body is about 8 mm thick and weighs 202 grams, making it notably lighter and slimmer than the Ultra.
The display is a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution of 2760 x 1256 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and also reaches 3600 nits peak brightness, along with Dolby Vision support.
Under the hood, Oppo uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. The phone comes with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, which keeps it in premium territory even though it is positioned below the Ultra.
Triple Hasselblad cameras and a big battery
The Find X9s also keeps Hasselblad branding in its camera system, but with a more conventional triple-camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with around 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
For selfies, the phone carries a 32MP front camera. Oppo also adds Hasselblad Portrait Mode, and video recording goes up to 4K 60fps with Dolby Vision.
Like the Ultra, the Find X9s runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 and supports Wi-Fi 7 and stereo speakers. Its battery capacity reaches 7025mAh, paired with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, giving the smaller model one of its most practical advantages.
With the official reveal scheduled for 26 May, Oppo is expected to disclose local pricing for both devices in Indonesia. Based on the specifications already shown, the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s are set up to serve two clear flagship priorities: maximum photography performance and a more compact premium experience for everyday use.
