Oppo has opened a new front in India’s premium smartphone market with the arrival of the Find X9 Ultra, a model that immediately enters one of the most competitive tiers in the segment. It is also the first Ultra-branded smartphone from Oppo to be sold in the country, which gives the launch extra weight beyond the hardware itself.
The device lands alongside the Find X9s, but the two phones are aimed at clearly different buyers. Oppo is using the pair to cover both the ultra-premium end and a lower flagship tier, while the Find X9 Ultra takes the spotlight as the most expensive option in the lineup.
Pricing puts the Ultra in direct competition
The Find X9 Ultra comes in a single India variant, 12GB/512GB, priced at INR169,999. That places it above the vivo X300 Ultra, which launched in India earlier this month with 16GB/512GB at INR159,999.
That price gap makes the comparison especially sharp in the Ultra segment. Oppo is positioning the Find X9 Ultra as its top-tier Find model, with a clear focus on buyers looking for a highly exclusive premium device.
Find X9s offers a wider entry point
While the Ultra is deliberately limited, the Find X9s gives shoppers more choice in both memory and color. In India, Oppo is offering the Find X9s in 12GB/256GB at INR79,999 and 12GB/512GB at INR89,999.
This creates a much broader price ladder within the same family. The Find X9s is meant to serve buyers who want flagship-level positioning without moving into the Ultra price band.
Different chipsets underline the split
The hardware choices also separate the two models. The Find X9 Ultra runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Find X9s uses Dimensity 9500s.
That combination reinforces Oppo’s segmentation strategy. The Ultra sits at the top of the range, while the Find X9s keeps a premium profile at a lower price.
Sales start together across multiple channels
Both phones went on sale in India on 28 May. Oppo is selling them through its official India website, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and major retail stores.
Pre-orders were opened earlier through Oppo’s own India site, and launch offers were prepared for both devices during the early ordering window. The wider channel mix gives the company a broad retail presence from day one.
Color choices also separate the two phones
The Find X9 Ultra is available in Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange. The more limited palette matches its position as the more exclusive model in the lineup.
The Find X9s comes in Sunset Orange, Midnight Grey, and Lavender Sky. With more color options, it offers a less constrained choice for buyers in the flagship class.
Oppo has also made the full specifications available for both phones through its official channels. For the Find X9 Ultra, the company has additionally prepared official review material and video content for users who want a closer look before deciding on a purchase.
