Realme’s latest smartwatch entry in India is built around two things that are hard to overlook: a bright AMOLED display and battery life that stretches well beyond the usual daily charge cycle. The Watch S5 pairs a 1.43-inch round AMOLED panel with a claimed runtime of up to 20 days, giving it an immediate edge in a crowded wearable market.
That combination is aimed at users who want a watch for everyday use without constant charging concerns. Realme launched the Watch S5 alongside the Realme 16T in India, and positioned it at a special launch price of INR 7,499.
Display and design take center stage
The Watch S5 uses a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 pixel resolution. Realme also says the panel can reach up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, which should make it easier to read in bright outdoor conditions.
The watch comes with an aluminum alloy case and Panda Glass on the front. Realme uses a silica gel strap for daily wear, while the sensor area on the underside is made of PVC. The device weighs 49.6 grams including the strap, and it also includes a functional crown for easier navigation.
Battery life is the main talking point
Inside the Watch S5 is a 460mAh battery. Realme claims that it can last up to 20 days in Smart mode and up to 16 days in regular use.
That endurance matters because the watch does not keep things basic. It includes Always-On Display, GPS, and Bluetooth calling, all of which typically place additional strain on battery life in a daily-use smartwatch.
Health and fitness features are broad
Realme equips the Watch S5 with heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, and women’s health features. It also supports VO2 Max measurement and daily activity tracking, making it more than just a notification device.
For exercise tracking, the smartwatch offers more than 110 sports modes. That wide selection gives users room to log many kinds of workouts from a single device.
Connectivity, performance, and daily use
The Watch S5 runs on the ATS3089 chipset and is paired with 4GB NAND storage and 16MB RAM. Connectivity is handled through Bluetooth 5.4, and Bluetooth calling lets users place and receive calls directly from the watch when it is connected to a phone.
GPS is included as well, which can benefit users who spend time outdoors and want location tracking that is not entirely dependent on a smartphone. The watch is compatible with phones running Android 9.0 or iOS 11 and later.
Durability and color options
Realme gives the Watch S5 a 5ATM water resistance rating. That level of protection makes it more suitable for everyday exposure to water.
Two color options are available: Rock Grey and Sand White. Realme also includes music control, adding another practical function to the watch’s daily feature set.
The Realme Watch S5 will go on sale in India starting 5 June, with the special launch price set at INR 7,499.
