ZTE Puts AI, Cloud, And Smart Networks At The Center Of Indonesia’s Digital Push

The conversation around AI infrastructure in Indonesia is no longer limited to future plans. At ZTE Day Indonesia 2026 in Jakarta, the focus turned to the systems that will actually carry that shift: cloud computing, intelligent networks, and the digital backbone needed for data-heavy services.

That emphasis reflects a broader market reality. As AI adoption and cloud-based operations expand across industries, the demand for infrastructure that is more adaptive, efficient, and scalable has become more urgent.

A platform built around digital infrastructure

ZTE used the event to present a wide range of ICT solutions aimed at operators and industry players. The showcase included AI computing, intelligent cloud infrastructure, optical transport, enterprise networking, Wi-Fi 7, and newer connectivity options for both telecom and industrial use cases.

The company also highlighted an end-to-end digital ecosystem covering Radio Access Network, microwave transmission, transport networks, core network, fixed network, and large-scale video solutions. This approach pointed to ZTE’s strategy of connecting technologies across the full stack, from network access to service delivery.

Why the conversation matters for Indonesia

President Director ZTE Indonesia Liu Sen said Indonesia is entering a critical stage in its digital transformation. He described AI, cloud technology, and intelligent networks as key foundations for future digital economic growth.

Liu Sen also stressed collaboration across industries. He said cooperation among technology providers, infrastructure players, and ecosystem partners is needed to build a national digital economy that is smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable.

Products and solutions on display

ZTE introduced several of its latest innovations during the forum. The lineup included nubia AI smartphones, high-performance AI server solutions, optical transport technology, AI-based network management systems, and enterprise connectivity solutions based on Wi-Fi 7.

The demonstrations were framed around the growing complexity of digital operations. As data management, network efficiency, and readiness for larger-scale systems become more important, ZTE positioned these products as part of a broader response to those requirements.

Industry sessions focused on AI and cloud

The event also featured the ZTE Open Day Afternoon Session, with speakers from several technology companies. Participants included Prof. Viciano Lee of Sertis Indonesia, Sami Muhammad Salman of Whale Cloud Technology Indonesia, Mohan Albert, and Chok Shin Lip of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence.

Their discussions centered on the rising importance of AI, cloud technology, and intelligent infrastructure in business transformation. They also linked those technologies to Indonesia’s digital economy, which is increasingly driven by data.

Connectivity, enterprise integration, and the fiber question

One of the panel discussions carried the theme “Connecting the Ecosystem: Intelligent Connectivity for Enterprise Integration & Value Innovation.” It brought together Eric Arianto of Linknet, Irawan Delfi of Fiberstar, and Sigit Dwi Cahyo of Tower Bersama Group.

The panel examined intelligent connectivity, fiber network readiness, and ecosystem integration for enterprise digitalization. It also pointed toward the need for smoother digital experiences in business environments.

Another panel, titled “Building the Foundation: Digital Infrastructure for Indonesia’s AI Era,” featured Abieta Billy of DCI Indonesia, Muljadi Muhali of Fortress Digital Services, and Marlo Budiman of DSST Mas Gemilang. Moderated by Vincent Han, the discussion focused on digital infrastructure, stronger data center capabilities, and industry collaboration to support wider AI adoption in Indonesia.

Taken together, the keynote sessions, panel discussions, product demonstrations, and networking activities showed how ZTE is framing its role in Indonesia. The company placed AI, cloud, and intelligent infrastructure at the center of the country’s next stage of digital growth.
