Xiaomi Indonesia has started selling the REDMI Watch 6 in the country with a clear focus on practical value. Positioned for active young users, the smartwatch is priced below 2 million and combines a large display, a slim body, health tracking features, and battery life claimed to last up to 24 days on a single charge.
A larger screen in a compact build
The REDMI Watch 6 uses a slim 9.9 mm design with an aluminum alloy metal frame. That construction is meant to keep the watch looking more premium while still remaining comfortable for daily wear.
On the front, Xiaomi equips the device with a 2.07-inch AMOLED display and a 2 mm bezel. The panel also supports a 60 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, which should help visibility when used outdoors.
The larger screen is not only about appearance. It also gives more room for reading notifications, checking workout data, and accessing everyday features with less effort.
Fast access for practical use
One of the more notable additions is the multifunction physical button. A single press opens the control center, a long press is used for restart, and three quick presses can trigger emergency contact calling.
This setup is aimed at making the watch faster to operate in situations where direct access matters. Users do not always need to rely on touchscreen navigation to handle basic but important functions.
Fitness, navigation, and health tracking
For fitness use, the REDMI Watch 6 offers more than 150 sports modes. That wide selection gives users more flexibility to track different types of workouts in a structured way.
Xiaomi also includes dual L1 antennas and a GNSS chip. Together, these components allow route or location tracking without depending constantly on a smartphone connection.
Health monitoring is handled by a newer-generation PPG biometrics sensor. It is used to track heart rate, blood oxygen or SpO2 levels, and sleep quality and cycles, making the watch relevant not only for exercise but also for everyday wellness monitoring.
Battery endurance and durability
Battery life stands out as one of the strongest selling points. Xiaomi claims the REDMI Watch 6 can last up to 24 days on a full charge.
The watch also carries a 5 ATM water resistance rating. Xiaomi says the chassis is safe for swimming at depths of up to 50 meters, adding another layer of practicality for users with active routines.
Colors and availability
Xiaomi offers the REDMI Watch 6 in three color options: Silver Gray, Obsidian Black, and Glacier Blue. The device is scheduled to be available through various sales channels in Indonesia starting 25 May 2026.
At the same time, Xiaomi Indonesia has also teased the REDMI Pad 2 9.7”, which is prepared to arrive in the market on 2 June 2026.
