ColorOS 16 also introduces AI Live Translation, which is intended for situations where users are in a country whose language they do not understand. The feature is meant to help with conversations, announcements, and local information in real time.
That kind of support matters when travelers need to react quickly on the ground. Whether it is a short direction or a location detail that must be understood immediately, instant translation can reduce communication barriers.
Oppo also added AI Menu Translation for dining situations. The feature does more than translate menu text, because it also shows visual images of dishes to help users understand what they are ordering.
Martin Liu said the feature does not stop at text translation. With AI support, a menu can be turned into a visual guide with a single tap, which removes some of the guesswork from ordering local food.
Tracking spending while away
Another part of ColorOS 16 is focused on travel expenses, which are often harder to manage while moving around. Users can scan receipts or digital information to see automatic currency conversion, and the system can also record transaction details from SMS.
That makes it easier to keep a cleaner record of trip spending while on the move. Oppo’s approach shows that its AI push is not limited to searching information or translating language, but also extends into the administrative tasks that often take time during a vacation.
Sharing across devices more easily
On the connectivity side, Oppo is introducing ClipShare to make it simpler to share files, photos, and videos across devices. The feature was developed with Google to make data transfer faster and more secure.
