Redmi K90 Ultra is starting to look like one of Xiaomi’s most aggressive upcoming phones, with early certification signs pointing to a large battery and unusually fast charging in the same package. The model has appeared in China’s 3C database under the number M332BF, which is often a strong early indication that a device is moving closer to launch.
The most immediate detail to draw attention is the charging support. According to the certification listing, the phone is rated for wired fast charging at up to 100W, a figure that places it among the more ambitious options in its class.
A large battery is part of the story
What makes the device stand out even more is the reported 8,500mAh battery. That capacity is far above the 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh range that still dominates many smartphones today.
If that number holds, Redmi K90 Ultra would sit near the top of its segment in battery size. For users, that could translate into longer endurance for video playback, gaming, productivity, and social media use without frequent top-ups.
Fast charging and huge capacity form the main pitch
The combination of an 8,500mAh battery and 100W charging suggests a clear product direction. Xiaomi appears to be aiming for a handset that does not force users to choose between stamina and charging speed.
That balance could be especially appealing for heavy users who rely on their phone throughout the day. A large battery can help reduce charging frequency, while 100W wired charging is meant to shorten the time needed when the phone does run low.
Performance rumors point to a premium mid-range position
Beyond power management, the Redmi K90 Ultra is also being linked with hardware that would place it close to flagship territory. Chinese tipsters say Xiaomi is preparing Snapdragon 8 Elite for the device.
That chipset is widely regarded as one of the strongest options available, which would give the phone enough headroom for demanding multitasking and heavy gaming. The same reports also mention a flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate, a combination that should support smoother scrolling and a more fluid gaming experience.
Several premium features are also being discussed
Another unusual claim surrounding the Redmi K90 Ultra is the inclusion of a built-in physical cooling fan. That kind of active cooling system is more commonly associated with premium gaming phones than with conventional non-gaming models.
If that feature arrives as described, it could help the device keep temperatures under control during sustained workloads. That in turn may help performance remain more consistent over longer sessions.
The rumored feature set does not stop there. The phone is also said to include dual stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, both of which add to its premium positioning.
Durability and launch positioning
Leak chatter further suggests that the device may carry both IP68 and IP69 ratings. Those certifications would indicate strong protection against dust and water if they are confirmed at launch.
Within the Redmi K90 family, the Ultra model is expected to sit below the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Max. Even so, the mix of battery size, charging speed, cooling, and premium hardware has made it one of the most closely watched members of the lineup.
Current reports point to a possible China launch around June to July, with pricing estimated at 2,799 yuan. For now, though, the 3C listing and the surrounding leaks remain the clearest signs that Xiaomi is preparing a device built to stand out on endurance and speed.
