Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Remains in Testing, 200MP Periscope Zoom Takes Center Stage

A possible reappearance of the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is now drawing attention for one clear reason: its camera setup. The latest chatter suggests that Oppo is still actively testing the device, with the 200MP periscope telephoto emerging as the most important part of the package.

That update also softens earlier speculation that the project had been delayed or even canceled. According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Find X10 Pro Max remains in development and is still moving through testing stages.

A single periscope approach is taking shape

The most notable shift in the current prototype is the direction Oppo appears to be taking for zoom. Instead of a dual-telephoto arrangement, the company is reportedly evaluating a single high-resolution periscope camera for long-range shots.

That design choice points to a more focused camera strategy. Rather than increasing the number of telephoto lenses, the engineering models currently rely on one periscope sensor with very high resolution.

Digital Chat Station says the engineering version of the Pro Max is using a large periscope sensor. The sizes being tested fall within the 1/1.28-inch, 1/1.4-inch, and 1/1.56-inch range across different prototypes.

200MP telephoto remains the headline feature

Among those options, an earlier leak from the same source suggested the Find X10 Pro Max may use a Samsung HPC 200MP sensor in the 1/1.28-inch size. The 1/1.4-inch and 1/1.56-inch sensors were linked more closely to 200MP cameras expected for the Vivo X500 Pro Max and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

If Oppo keeps that direction, the periscope system would become one of the device’s main selling points. Large telephoto sensors are often associated with stronger detail capture, better low-light performance, and improved zoom quality.

The leaked direction also suggests Oppo is treating the telephoto unit as more than a simple zoom tool. It appears to be positioning the periscope camera as a central imaging component with broader use cases.

Telephoto macro is also part of the plan

Digital Chat Station also says all of the Pro Max models tied to this leak will support telephoto macro. That would let the camera handle close-up photography through the periscope lens, not just distant subjects.

This makes the telephoto module more versatile in practice. Instead of serving only for optical magnification, it could handle both long-range and near-detail shots.

Other hardware details are starting to surface

Beyond the zoom system, the Find X10 Pro Max is said to carry a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. For the ultra-wide camera, the available options are still said to be either 200MP or 50MP.

That combination would give the phone a very aggressive camera setup for the flagship class. It also reinforces the impression that Oppo wants imaging to define this series.

The display information is equally large in scale. The Find X10 Pro Max is said to feature a 6.89-inch LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution.

Performance and battery round out the package

On the performance side, the device is expected to use a Dimensity 9600-series chipset. The exact chip model has not been detailed, but the naming already indicates a top-tier performance target.

Battery capacity is another area attracting interest. The figure mentioned in the leak is around 7,000mAh, which is unusually large for a flagship phone.

Even so, the phone is still not finalized. The fact that the device is being described as an engineering model and a prototype indicates Oppo is still comparing several possibilities before locking in the final hardware.

That also explains why different periscope sensor sizes continue to appear across test units. For now, the most consistent signal is that the Find X10 Pro Max is still alive as a project, and the 200MP periscope telephoto remains at the center of its identity.
