One UI 8.5 Reaches More Samsung Mid-Rangers, Galaxy M55s And F56 Join The Rollout

Samsung is widening access to the stable One UI 8.5 update across more of its mid-range Galaxy phones, and the latest wave now includes the Galaxy M55s, Galaxy F16, Galaxy F17, Galaxy F55, and Galaxy F56. The rollout has started in India, signaling that the public release phase is now reaching additional models beyond the first devices that already received the software.

The Galaxy M55s stands out in this latest batch because it follows the Galaxy M55, which had already picked up the stable One UI 8.5 update last week. Its firmware is identified as M558BXXU3DZE3, and India is among the first markets to get it.

More Galaxy F models join the rollout

Samsung is also pushing the same stable release to four devices from the Galaxy F lineup. Those models are the Galaxy F16, Galaxy F17, Galaxy F55, and Galaxy F56, all of which are now receiving the update in India.

Each device is tied to a different firmware build, which helps users confirm that the update they see is part of the official rollout. The Galaxy F16 carries firmware E166PXXU5DZE2, while the Galaxy F17 is receiving E176BXXU5CZE9.

Firmware details for each model

The Galaxy F55 is listed with firmware E556BXXU5DZE3. The Galaxy F56, meanwhile, is getting stable One UI 8.5 through firmware E566BXXU5CZE2.

These build numbers matter for users who want to verify that the update notification is legitimate and not a different software version from another channel. They also make it easier to check whether the stable release has already reached a device even when the automatic alert has not appeared yet.

A gradual rollout strategy continues

Samsung appears to be following its usual phased approach by starting in one market before expanding to others. Although the current push is centered on India, the update is expected to move into more regions afterward.

That wider expansion has not been detailed yet, but the current rollout still marks an important step because it shows One UI 8.5 has entered public distribution for several additional models. For users outside India, that is often a sign that local availability may follow once regional rollout schedules are set.

How users can check manually

Anyone in India using one of these phones can look for the update manually if the notification has not shown up. The path is simple: open Settings, then go to Software update.

This option is useful when the rollout is already active for a model, but the alert has not reached every device at the same time. It gives users a direct way to check whether their phone is already eligible for the stable One UI 8.5 release.

The broader picture is that Samsung is not limiting the update to a single product family. Both the Galaxy M and Galaxy F series are now included, and the addition of the Galaxy M55s alongside the Galaxy M55 suggests the company is moving quickly through closely related models.
