Edifier is taking a different path in the clip-on earbud segment with the LolliClip SE. Instead of relying on comfort alone, the company is pairing its open-ear design with Dolby Spatial Audio and a set of AI tools aimed at everyday productivity.
The result is a product that is meant to work in more situations than a typical open-ear model. It is positioned not only for music and entertainment, but also for meetings, translation, and other daily tasks through the Edifier Connect app.
Audio and AI in one package
One of the main highlights is Dolby Spatial Audio, which Edifier says expands the soundstage for music, films, and gaming. It is also the first clip-on earbud from the brand to include that feature.
The AI side is powered by Doubao and DeepSeek through Edifier Connect. The app enables real-time translation in 21 languages, along with basic AI assistance, meeting recording, transcription, and meeting summaries.
Built for open-ear use
Because the LolliClip SE follows an open-ear concept, it does not seal the ear canal. That design allows users to stay aware of their surroundings while listening, which can be useful on the street, in the office, or in other active settings.
Edifier uses a flexible bridge structure to hold the earbuds in place. The company says this layout spreads pressure evenly and avoids direct pressure on the ear canal and cartilage.
A feature called adaptive channel recognition also simplifies daily use. It can detect which ear the earbuds are worn on, so users do not need to check left and right markings first.
Sound hardware and tuning
For audio output, the LolliClip SE uses a 12 mm dynamic driver with a dual-magnet setup. Edifier also fits it with a composite diaphragm made from polyurethane and PET with a titanium coating.
Open-ear earbuds often lose some bass impact because they do not create a physical seal. To address that, Edifier adds a dynamic bass compensation algorithm intended to help keep low frequencies balanced.
The earbud supports LHDC 5.0 decoding at up to 990 kbps. It also carries Hi-Res Audio Wireless and HWA certifications.
Connectivity, calls, and battery life
The LolliClip SE uses Bluetooth 6.1 for wireless connectivity. Multipoint support is included as well, allowing the earbuds to stay connected to two devices at the same time.
That feature should help users switch more easily between a phone and a laptop without manually pairing again. For voice calls, Edifier equips the model with dual microphones and noise reduction to help make conversations clearer.
Battery performance is another major part of the package. Edifier says the earbuds last up to 10 hours on a single charge, while the charging case adds another 30 hours for a total of 40 hours.
Durability and pricing
The LolliClip SE carries an IP56 rating, which means it is resistant to dust and light water exposure such as sweat or light rain. Edifier offers the model in black and gold.
The official price is set at 499 yuan. With its mix of spatial audio, hi-res support, and AI-driven productivity tools, the LolliClip SE stands out in a clip-on category that is becoming increasingly competitive.
