Samsung’s Galaxy A27 5G has surfaced with far more detail than a typical early listing, and the most compelling part is not just the design. The device appears to combine a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, and unusually long software support for its class.
The phone was spotted on Samsung’s official site in the Czech Republic, giving a clearer look at the model’s design, memory options, colors, and core specifications. While Samsung has not confirmed a launch schedule, the listing suggests the Galaxy A27 5G is already close to a public release.
A familiar Samsung design, but with a few practical touches
The Galaxy A27 5G uses a rear camera module shaped like a capsule and placed at the upper-left corner of the back panel. An LED flash sits beside the module, while the rear surface itself is flat.
On the front, the phone carries a centered punch-hole camera, with the power button and volume keys positioned on the right side. The left side remains clean, and Samsung places a secondary microphone on the top edge.
USB Type-C is visible at the bottom, and the device is listed in four color options: Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink.
Display and software are the headline features
Samsung lists the Galaxy A27 5G with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and Full-HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, along with 16 million colors and peak brightness of up to 800 nits.
The software package is equally notable. The phone is shown running Android 16 with One UI 8.5, and Samsung promises six OS upgrades plus six years of security updates.
That level of support stands out in the midrange segment, where long-term updates can be a major factor for buyers planning to keep a phone for several years.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 powers the hardware package
Under the hood, the Galaxy A27 5G is set to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, an octa-core processor with a peak speed of up to 2.4GHz. Samsung also lists 128GB and 256GB storage variants, giving buyers two clear options.
The battery is rated at 5,000mAh, with Samsung claiming up to 23 hours of video playback on a single charge. The device also carries an IP64 rating, which means protection against dust and water splashes.
Three rear cameras and a 12MP selfie camera
Camera hardware on the Galaxy A27 5G follows Samsung’s familiar midrange formula. The main rear camera uses a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture.
It is joined by a 5MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, Samsung includes a 12MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
That setup gives the phone a flexible but straightforward imaging package, with the 50MP main camera clearly positioned as the primary shooting option.
Security, connectivity, and body dimensions
For security, Samsung places the fingerprint sensor on the side of the body, likely integrated with the power key for quicker access. The listed sensor set also includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Connectivity support covers 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, and OZSS. The Galaxy A27 5G is also listed as a dual-SIM device, adding flexibility for users who manage two numbers on one phone.
In terms of size, the handset measures 162.4 x 78.2 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 200 grams. That places it in the category of a large-screen phone with a relatively slim body.
For now, Samsung’s Czech Republic listing stops short of revealing when the Galaxy A27 5G will actually go on sale. Even so, the appearance of full specifications, color options, and storage variants points to a model that is nearing its market debut.
