Vivo has introduced the V70 Lite 5G in the United Arab Emirates, positioning the device as a more affordable successor to the V60 Lite while adding a larger battery and a new chipset.
The phone keeps a familiar design language, with slim bezels, a punch-hole display, and a vertically aligned dual-camera module at the back. That familiar look now sits beneath a hardware package that is more ambitious in several key areas.
Big AMOLED display with high brightness
On the front, the Vivo V70 Lite 5G uses a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. It also supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, which should help animations and scrolling feel smoother in daily use.
Vivo says the display can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making it easier to read outdoors under strong sunlight. A 32 MP front camera sits inside the punch hole, while the fingerprint scanner is integrated under the display.
Dimensity 7400 Turbo is the key upgrade
The biggest change comes from the performance side. Compared with the V60 Lite, which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7360, the new model moves up to the Dimensity 7400 Turbo.
The chipset uses ARM Cortex-A78 architecture with speeds of up to 2.6 GHz. Vivo pairs it with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage in 128 GB or 256 GB variants.
50 MP camera setup and 6,500 mAh battery
At the rear, the device carries a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor. It is joined by an 8 MP ultrawide camera for wider shots and landscape scenes.
Battery life is one of the headline attractions here. Vivo equips the phone with a 6,500 mAh battery and supports it with 90 W fast charging to reduce charging time.
Android 16 and modern connectivity
Software duties are handled by Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The phone also supports 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB 2.0 port.
Available in Black and Gold, the Vivo V70 Lite 5G is priced at 1,099 UAE Dirham for the 8/128 GB version and 1,299 UAE Dirham for the 8/256 GB model. Vivo has not said whether the device will arrive in Indonesia, although the presence of the V60 Lite in that market keeps speculation alive.
