The first images tied to the Galaxy S26 FE suggest Samsung is moving its Fan Edition line closer to the design language of its flagship phones. The most noticeable change is the camera area, which appears to use a raised bump that surrounds the rear sensors instead of the separate cutouts seen on earlier FE models.
That shift matters because it makes the next Fan Edition look more aligned with the Galaxy S26 family. If the leak holds up, the S26 FE could become one of the most visually premium-looking FE models Samsung has released so far.
What the leak shows
The device surfaced early in the Wireless Power Consortium database under model number SM-S741. Along with the listing, a render appeared that is believed to show the phone’s actual design.
9to5Google was among the first to highlight the listing after the phone appeared in the WPC database. While the entry does not reveal full specifications, these kinds of listings often provide the earliest reliable hint about a device’s final look.
A sharper move toward Samsung’s flagship style
In the leaked image, the rear camera setup still looks unmistakably like a Samsung phone, but the bump around the lenses gives it a more unified appearance. Earlier FE devices typically used isolated camera openings without a shared housing, so this would be a clear visual update.
The arrangement echoes the design direction seen on the Galaxy S26 line. That overlap suggests Samsung may want the FE model to feel less like a trimmed-down alternative and more like a member of the same design family.
Even so, the position of the camera module in the image looks slightly unusual, sitting very close to the top and side edges. Because the phone is still months away from launch, some refinement could still happen before Samsung finalizes the design.
Why the FE line still matters
The appearance of the S26 FE also reinforces Samsung’s continued focus on the Fan Edition series. As the Galaxy A lineup expands, FE remains the middle ground for buyers who want a flagship-inspired design, solid hardware, and a lower price than the top-tier Galaxy S models.
That balance has helped FE models act as a bridge between Samsung’s midrange and flagship offerings. A design shift closer to the Galaxy S26 could strengthen that identity further, especially for buyers who care about appearance as much as hardware.
Early hardware rumors are already circulating
Beyond the design leak, early reports have pointed to an Exynos 2500 chipset and 8GB of RAM for the Galaxy S26 FE. The phone is also said to launch with Android 17 out of the box, although none of that has been confirmed officially.
The WPC listing did not disclose any wireless charging speed, and it also left open questions about support for full Qi2 functionality. Current rumors suggest the device may not include full Qi2 support natively, matching expectations around the wider Galaxy S26 lineup.
Why this leak stands out now
For many buyers, the FE series has always been defined by how closely it can borrow from Samsung’s premium phones without crossing into flagship pricing. A camera design that looks closer to the Galaxy S26 than to previous FE models would be a noticeable step in that direction.
If Samsung keeps this approach for the final version, the Galaxy S26 FE could feel more premium before users even look at the specs. For now, the WPC listing offers only an early glimpse, but it is enough to show that the next Fan Edition may be Samsung’s most flagship-like FE yet.
