Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has surfaced on Google Play Console, adding strong evidence that its launch is nearing. The listing points to a more ambitious mid-range phone, with a suspected Dimensity 7300-class chip, 12GB of RAM, and Android 16 out of the box.
The device carries the model number TECNO-LK7 and was first highlighted by Xpertpick. It had already appeared in FCC and TUV certification databases, which usually suggests a product is moving through the final stages before launch.
What the listing reveals
Google Play Console does not name the chipset directly, but the CPU configuration matches MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 family. The listing shows four Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.
The same listing also confirms 12GB of RAM and Android 16, identified through SDK version 36. That combination positions the phone above many standard mid-range models on paper.
Display details point to a premium lean
One of the most notable clues is the screen. The panel is listed with a resolution of 1208 x 2644 pixels and a density of 520 DPI, which places it in the 1.5K category.
The rendered front image also shows slim bezels and a centered punch-hole camera. Power and volume controls appear on the right side, giving the phone a clean, familiar layout.
A display at this resolution suggests Tecno is not treating this model as a basic Pova variant. Instead, the hardware direction points toward a stronger focus on performance and visual sharpness.
How it compares with the regular Pova 8
The timing is notable because Tecno recently introduced the regular Pova 8 in India. That model uses a Dimensity 7100 chip and a much larger 8,000mAh battery.
Tecno also gave the standard version a rear design with a Dot Matrix look similar to Nothing’s visual language. The company calls that feature the “Alive Matrix dot display.”
The Pro version is expected to keep some of that identity, but the early evidence suggests the bigger change is inside the phone. If the Dimensity 7300 hint proves accurate, the Pro model would move up a level in raw processing power.
There is one detail that may surprise some buyers. Certification data suggests a 6,500mAh battery, which is smaller than the one on the regular Pova 8.
Launch signs are becoming harder to ignore
With appearances now across FCC, TUV, and Google Play Console, Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G looks close to an official reveal. That pattern often appears when a product is already well into preparation for release.
For now, key details such as storage options, camera specifications, exact display size, and pricing remain unknown. Even so, the combination of TECNO-LK7, 12GB RAM, Android 16, 1.5K-class screen data, and a Dimensity 7300-like layout gives a clear picture of Tecno’s direction.
The phone appears designed to push the Pova line further upmarket without abandoning its distinct identity. If Tecno follows through on these early signs, the Pova 8 Pro 5G could become one of the brand’s most closely watched launches in the near term.
