HMD C2 Plus Looks Far More Tempting, Leaks Put the Full Picture on the Table

Fresh leaks have exposed nearly the entire HMD C2 and HMD C2 Plus lineup ahead of their official launch. The details include live images, color options, pricing hints, and the key differences that may separate the two phones in HMD’s affordable C series.

The most striking part of the leak is not the shared design, but how much more competitive the Plus model appears on paper. It is said to offer a sharper display, stronger camera hardware, higher durability, and a more generous base memory configuration.

Shared design, different finish

According to the leaked material shared by the well-known leaker @smashx_60, the HMD C2 carries the model code TA-1X2X, while the HMD C2 Plus appears under TA-1X3X. Both phones look very similar from the back, but their finishes are different.

The standard HMD C2 is said to use a glossy rear panel, while the C2 Plus comes with a matte finish. That small visual change may help the Plus feel a little more premium even before the technical upgrades are considered.

Display and performance separate the two models

The HMD C2 is reported to feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It is also expected to run on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.

Memory options for the model are said to include 6 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 256 GB. Power comes from a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, which should make endurance one of its main selling points.

The HMD C2 Plus keeps many of the same core ideas but upgrades the panel to a 120Hz display with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. Its base configuration is also larger, with 8 GB + 256 GB listed as the starting option.

Camera setup gives the Plus a clear advantage

Camera hardware is where the gap becomes most obvious. The HMD C2 is said to use a 50 MP main camera, supported by 2 MP and 0.3 MP secondary sensors.

Its front camera is also notable, as the device is reportedly equipped with a 50 MP selfie camera. That could make it appealing to users who focus on video calls and social media content.

The HMD C2 Plus moves further ahead with a 64 MP main camera that includes OIS. It is also said to add an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP depth sensor for a more flexible rear camera system.

Durability and extras round out the package

Beyond imaging and display upgrades, the HMD C2 is said to run Android 16 and include IP54 protection, OZO audio, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a side fingerprint sensor, and dual stereo speakers.

The C2 Plus is listed with the same dual stereo speaker setup, but it is expected to carry a stronger IP65 rating instead. That gives the Plus a better edge in body protection compared with the standard model.

Colors and pricing already surfaced

Color choices have also leaked for both phones. The HMD C2 is said to come in Light Mint, Midnight Blue, and Lavender, while the C2 Plus is expected in Coral, Royal Blue, and Jade Green.

Pricing hints suggest the HMD C2 will start at 149 Euros for the 6 GB + 128 GB version. The HMD C2 Plus is said to begin at 200 Euros, a level that reflects its stronger display, better camera system, and larger memory base.

HMD has not officially announced either phone yet, but the appearance of real-world images and detailed specifications suggests the launch may not be far away.
